I saw they're going to make a spinoff of the Wolverine movie about Deadpool. Comic world spinoffs can be never-ending.

I saw it and agree. The last two X-Men movies have been mediocre at best.

i saw a few FX oopses in the movie, but didn't care cause im a big Wolvie fan. that being said, Spidey 2 & 3 were b-movies with a blockbuster budget.

as far as deadpool goes, i dont think you could pay me to watch it. i would like to see a bit more on gambit though.

There hasn't been much talk about Terminator: Salvation, but I think that one may be the best of the bunch this summer. I also hear that The Soloist is very good.

I think that we can safely assume that any movie based on a comic book -- particularly a Marvel comic book -- is a B-movie.

The problem with comic book movies is that they're too scared to do something dark and rated R, when they need to be. I haven't seen the new wolverine but I feel confident in assuming he never once tore anybody apart with his claws. That's a ridiculous weapon for someone to have and not use like that. I guess they think they'll lose the teenage crowd who cant get in to see it without an adult. Although even when they tried to do that (Punisher) they kinda screwed it up too. I thought it was decent but you've got the R rating, might as well show him gruesomely punishing bad guys. When you make it for all audiences, it'll wind up sucking. But these movies are such a cash cow, that doesn't really enter their concerns.

Iron Man and Batman didn't seem to have that problem. And they tried to make the Hulk movies a little darker. It's just all in the story and direction. Just look at the difference between the first four Batman movies and the last two. These concepts should be so easy to make into a good movie, but they recruit people who really don't know how to interpret comic books, and they end up goofy.

Fresh off the muscular performance of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" at the boxoffice, Fox has thrown into development a spinoff featuring Deadpool, the wise-cracking mercenary played in the film by Ryan Reynolds.

Reynolds is attached to reprise the character for what for now is simply being called "Deadpool." Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studios would act as producers.

Deadpool is known as "the merc with a mouth," a character that under Reynolds lived up to his billing in "Wolverine" until the end, when the movie deviated from the comic book persona, imbuing him with several superpowers and sewing his mouth shut.

It is understood that Reynolds would regain the ability to mouth off, with the movie going back to the roots of the character known for his slapstick tone and propensity to break the fourth wall. The character also was disfigured in "Wolverine," though it's unclear at this time how much the studio would want to mess with Reynolds' handsome mug.

The project is out to writers.

Fox considered a "Deadpool" spinoff early in "Wolverine's" development process, which is why it cast Reynolds. The actor was brought back in the month before the movie's release to shoot one of two "Easter egg" scenes that appeared after the end credits.

I'm pumped about Star Trek and Terminator. I have been hesitant to go see a movie since the Watchmen broke my heart.

And I second all those who thought the Wolverine movie was a b-movie.

Oh, yes you can. That guy would take a script if it came out of a fortune cookie. The American Pie people are either paying him in eyebrow fertilizer or they have incriminating pictures of him and Greg the Bunny.

Terminators 2, eh?

Yeah, I think I'll wait on that one to hit the dollar theater as well. Turned out to be a solid plan for "Z-Men", "The German Job" and "Toy Stories 2".

Didn't Terminator 2 already come out? Because I think I remember seeing it when I was, like, in high school? It kicked jerk.
