As nice and classy as the VMI posters have always been on this board, I officially hate your team more than Radford. Sorry you don't like ESPN......LU has been to the Conf. championship game more than VMI the past 12 or so years, nuttin' wrong with being happy (in RU's building, not the Vines)......hey, the way we played the first half, I thought we'd be down by 10+. Liberty will be a very good team again next season. A healthy Sanders and everyone else one year older, LU is a top-3 pick in the 2010 preseason poll, IMO. Ant. Smith had a very good career; will be hard to replace but Coach mcKay will find a good 4-man to handle the inside.

What was the deal with the cold handshake between Dugger and McKay at the end? Dugger's story with the health problems and all is admirable, but he came across as an arrogant butthole, especially with the long timeout at the end to get players in. If you are just subbing in that spot, you can use half of a thirty second timeout to serve the purpose. No wonder he fits in so well at VMI.

Not that I have much room to talk, Scruggs isn't exactly Will Rogers either.

In the second half, with VMI up 10, 15, or 20 points, anytime James Spencer, Johnny Stephene, Brolin Floyd, and at times Tyler Baker got the ball they just stood there. They were wide open. There was no one around. They wouldn't even throw up the show. At what point do you say, "Oh, hey, if we lose, we're done. Maybe I should shoot the ball." Just throw something up. For the love of God, try a shot. I know these guys shot in high school. I know they shoot in pick up games. I know they shoot in warm-ups. If no one is within ten feet of them, why not at least try a shot.

YES!!! That is the other reason we lost. That and Jesse Sanders. For crying out loud, it was 5 on 3 during the second half. No wonder VMI pulled away. Spencer, Stephene, Brolin, Smith and Baker all played scared. VMI was collapsing on our three scorers and those guys wouldn't shoot the ball. I think I understand though. For most of them it was there first time in a really big game and they were scared. They will learn.

It wasn't their first time in a big game. Johnny is 22 years old for crying out loud. He's not an 18 year old freshman. These guys have all played on ESPN before so that's no excuse.

I'm upset that it looked like half our team didn't even care in the second half. It's one thing to get beat playing your best. You tip your cap and move on. However half of those guys just stood there basically saying, "Coach, I don't have the balls to be out here. What do I do now?" I realized tonight how important the three guys in street clothes at the end of our bench are. David, Jeremy, and Carter all are not afraid to shoot the ball. They may miss, but they're going to at least try.

Just got back from the game, I will be rooting for Radofrd after tonight, I never had a problem with VMI untill tonight, they were better and beat us, no big deal, but they are so classless, its terrible. Doooooger needs to mature a little bit, he loved rubbing it into Mckay, he didn't call time out to sub. The VMI fans (The Keydets) are great, great fans, loved the cheering back and forth. But the alumni, I would assume its alumni, all of the older folks are some of the biggest pricks in the world, flipping us off at time, I had an old man chuck a flag at my car and laugh...Never will I root for VMI again, Ill say it a thousand times, CLASSLESS. I would much rather loose by 20 with heart then win that way, what a bunch of clowns, act like you have won a game, and if not, at least have some respect, if not for others then for yourselves. Its sad a few people make that school look so bad...
