While I think it might be slightly easier to take out UNCA in the championship game, another part of me knows we can beat Radford at their place. Then we would have taken out the 1 and 2 seed on the way to the NCAA Tourney. That's a roll! While I like the attitude - Radford still scares me with their size inside. we beat them last Saturday - but we really don't match up well. Plus - what's the chance of beating them twice on their home floor in a week? We can beat them - but I like our chances with UNCA - was hoping to play Coastal Thursday too for that matter.

Normally he says things to get people hyped up when we score, and says things very boringly when the other team scores. I don't think he was allowed to do that tonight.LUconn wrote:Why did everything have to be "sterilized" just because the mothership is running things. The PA guy had to be monotone for both teams. Let me just say that i was really empressed with the announcers who do the TV feed (Scarborough and i cant remember the other guy) but they were a joy to listen too especially SCAR, did a wonderful job of not being a big homer and kept things in perspective the whole game.I believe it was Ray with the call and Scar on the color. I'm sure both will appreciate seeing your comments.

I understand that you guys are new to the Big South & all, but just take note that in the last 10-11 years- Winthrop has only lost to 1 team in Big South tourney play (Since '99 they're like 25-3)... That's right, for all your talk you can thank the Bulldogs of UNCA for that since no one else can/has beat them in the tourney!!
Let me say one thing to start off not really related to tonight....Winthrop is absolutely red hot, and it may just be a blessing we are not on the same side of the bracket with them. I fully expect them to pound UNCA tonight in Asheville. Also, they will not be intimidated playing at Radford Thursday night on a national stage. I look for the Eagles to be in the final.
.....
I'll try to get back on here post-game tonight or tomorrow, win or lose, for some discussion.

Glad that we didn't get pounded by the red hot team that had to outscore CSU 38-10 in the 2nd half just last week..

Good game tonight it seems for LU- looked like GW went on quite the run, WU did that a little to us as well, but both teams responded which was good for us to show that we've matured as the season has progressed.. Now we get to see if RU can beat us 3 times this year like WU was going for.. Go Dogs!!
