That's no surprise two examples of class

Good game tonite...it was much needed but you still gotta go out there and do it. I cant wait to see BF for another 3 years, he's built like a Sr now with the body and ability as good as anything we've seen

Ant's a man's man....I love watching him play

Jesse was Jesse...heart and soul

KO hit his shots well

I hope BF learns how to stay out of foul trouble, this is a few games now that's gotten into foul trouble early...having him sit against a tough team will hurt us

Already has
Not having him in the OT's against Radford really hurt us.
Yeah...trying to be optimistic haha but your right...that killed us

No way. He may be 6-4. I am 6-3. I will give him 1 inch.

I have to say... That play at the end of the game when we were being respectful and running the clock down and Nick Barbour from HPU stole the bal from Spencer and went and layed it in showed absolutely no class. It was definitely out of line. If I was the HPU coach that kid would get an earful and probably sit the next game. But Bart Lundy probably didn't even care.

Not that this really matters anyways because we crushed them. But if one of our players did that, I'm sure Ritchie would be all over him!

Brolin's huge dunk attempt would've been freakin awesome, but he missed. I'm sure Ritchie was a little peeved. And that gave the HP fans a chance to say you can't dunk. But when you're 6'11'' like Cruz, you should be able to dunk half of those layups.

SCAR, I once had an education prof at UVa that said once you turn 40 you begin shrinking a little each year. Have you been measured lately?

And are you taller than Seth?

I gotta say that I was watchin and Kyle just seemed to be feelin it tonight. Its like almost every time he went up from behind the 3 pt line you just knew it was gonna go in. He also had some nice drives as well.

I agree, while I appreciate working hard until the end at some point you have to draw a line. He shouldn't have done that. He won't sit next game (not should he IMO) but I wouldn't mind seeing him benched and not get the start. I thought the LU fans did a good job of coming out despite the weather, I loved the reaction when they announced that classes were delayed. While I understand the you cant dunk cheers against Cruz, he actually is one of the classier players we have had here and is very capable of dunking but chooses to lay it in instead. It is something he has always done, even though it drives us fans nuts because sometimes we could use the energy of a dunk. It was also something Jerald Minnis did at High Point so maybe that is where Cruz got the idea of not dunking from.

Good luck the rest of the season I would much rather see you guys when the conference over WU or VMI. I can't promise everyone else will leave yalls shooters wide open like we do though :)

haha yeah. We were just giving him a hard tim because he is 6'11" and never dunked! But I understand the concept of not dunking. Brolin went for that monster dunk and totally missed it and had he just put up a lay up or done a simple dunk, it would have been two more points. So I guess a lay up is more high percentage than a dunk in some senses.

And I think not giving him the start would be a good punishment. I just don't think Lundy will do that! And you do have to play until the final whistle, but in a case like that, you just let the other team run out the clock because they are trying to be classy and not score any more points. Doing that was pretty messed up! But you still gotta like the fight in that kid! I think it was just a freshman moment. I think he'll learn from this mistake and he won't do it again.

Good post hype...as far as that last second lay up...it wasnt in the best interest for him to do it...but I'm not sure he should be benched or anything...just needs to learn to win with class and lose with class...no biggie though, no worries

What was the problem with the steal and the lay in at the end? Take care of the ball. Why wouldn't they want to score?

That was a situation that comes up frequently when the outcome of a game is decided, the winning team has the ball in the last few seconds and the coach of the other team has decided not to press or foul any more. There is an unspoken "gentleman's agreement" that the team with the ball will not try to score and the team on defense will pretty much stand there and let them dribble out the clock. That was exactly what was happening. Spencer had the ball and was dribbling out the clock and then I guess he didn't realize there were still about 5 seconds left and just walked away from the ball. Barbour scooped it up and drove for a layup which accomplished nothing but making the score look a little closer than it was and padding his stats. Spencer was just a bit too casual, but IMHO what Barbour did was bush league.

GREAT postgame interview: MrsPA enjoyed counting the "I mean"s and I was impressed how the large domed one managed to make it all about him 8)

fun game to watch: no indigestion.

amazing though, how our shooting changed from the 1st half to the second.

LUnatics sounded great.

that "steal" at the very end should have gotten the kid decked. Not advocating random violence, just saying

PS: too lazy to look it up, but SCAR mentioned something about a record for assists- I know Jesse had a huge first half as far as that stat is concerned, though he was a bit more quiet in the 2nd. Did he end up with the record, or no?

Actually Jesse did not have any assists in the second half and finished with 9. Since the record is 20, the whole discussion was a bit premature.

I think Ray was the one that looked up the record so I was playing off of him. Sorry Medic. Next time we will wait until the kid graduates before we think about mentioning records he may be approaching :P

I knew I could get you outta bed this morning. You can smell it when we post about you.

BTW- your city is currently under several inches of snow and ice. Makes it even nicer than it already is. Abington is safe, though 8)
