I watched the NHL Superskills on Vs. Saturday and I must say that they have the worst crew I have ever seen. The camera angles were terrible and the replays they showed were horrible. The whole thing was kind of boring to me (I'm not a hockey fan at all). One event was the fastest skater competition where they did one lap around the arena. The on-ice timer didn't work so the referee had to manually time everyone which made it nearly impossible to enjoy since you had no idea how fast the guys were going. I don't think you can trust the results of one guy timing with a stopwatch but that's just me. The Accuracy Shooting event would have been cool if they had a camera which actually showed if the guys hit the targets or not. The camera was positioned so far away that several times guys were given credit for hitting targets that you couldn't tell got hit watching on tv. The Hardest Shot event was my favorite and was won by Zdeno Chara with a record-breaking shot of 105.4 mph which was pretty cool. Overall I'd say the entire event was a disappointment. I was willing to give the event a chance thinking the concept seemed pretty cool. Turns out it was not (although much could be blamed on equipment malfunctions and poor tv presentation).
