24 season 7 will start Sunday. I am planning on watching. I thought season six was disappoiting compared to 5, which I am actually watching on DVD right now. If this season is close to as good as 5 I will be very happy.

24 Redemption was on last week and I thought it was pretty decent and it did allude to some interesting scenarios develping in the upcoming season. I think I will like the lady playing the President. I didn't care for Wayne Palmer as President.

The other big story with season 7 will be the return of Tony Almeda. Apparently he "supposed" to come off looking like the bad guy in the first couple episodes. Whether that turns out to be the case, I do not know.

Also I don't think CTU exists in this season and most of the locations are out of Los Angeles.

I'm starting to ween myself off of shows that require consecutive viewings to get the following show….

my list is now:

Lost
Fringe
Life - can still watch even if I miss one
Burn Notice - can still watch even if I miss one

even tivoing them I don't have the time to follow all the shows….

24 was one of the ones that got axed following 2 terrible seasons…

Same here. I'm just doing Lost. I've ditched Heroes and Prison Break this year because they suck and I'm sick of having to never miss to understand what's going on.

I tried once to get into a show that you have to follow every week...unfortunately it was 24 during the AWFUL season and I just stopped

I really haven't been watching anything since the spring. I keep missing The Office, but my computer records it (I have a lot of catching up to do). But I can't wait for Lost to start, that will pretty much be my one show for the year. I haven't decided yet if I want to go with 24 this year. It's on Sunday nights, right?

Have you actually watched Lost? :D

Even if you watch Lost consistantly, you still don't have a clue to what's going on.

I like 24 and will keep watching but had to ditch Heroes and Prison Break, as well. I try to keep up with House and most of the time I can but you do miss some storyline things from time to time.

True. Even more reason why everyone has time for TV.

Looking forward to 24. I liked the Redemption show. Looks like it is going in a completely new direction from past years, which is a good thing.

And yea....Tivo is the way to go...makes things much easier to watch TV.

BTW...January 21st - LOST!

You know I haven't followed 24 since about season 3. I am thinking about giving it another go with so few other shows this season worth watching.

You've got to do some catching up. Season 7 won't make sense if you haven't followed the story.

I havent seen season 6 but I'll catch him up.

In ever episode something explodes and he almost dies.

He's still alive thus a season 7 where hopefully the bad guys will finish the job this time

Yes it will. It has too or they would pick up very few new viewers.

They'll eventually kill Jack, just for the shock value. And that won't end the show, because it doesn't have to follow a timeline or be in order. The show is just one day in time, so they can always have a season or seasons that are back in the past.

They sort of already did that.

I know its early to pass judgement but I liked the first episode. No, it didn't use the shock and awe tactics of last seasons opener but I actually think that's a good thing. I liked the pacing of the show and how they are building the plot.

I'm not crazy about Tony but I'll get over that. I really like the rest of the new cast, which was not true about last season. I also like the fact that CTU is gone in this is being filmed in DC...at least for now.

Fox is hyping a big suprise for tonights episode...it will be intersting to see what it is. From the preview we see Jack talking on the phone and saying..."I was told to call you." Who might it be on the other end of the line? I guess that will be the suprise. I suppose they are bringing back another chacter...although I have no idea who it might be.

I don't believe Tony is completely dirty. There is something else going on but I haven't quite figured it out. My guess is the 'shock' phone call will be with former president Logan. They mentioned he was still under house arrest in the first few minutes. He's about the only one that can be explained rationally without having to revive someone (even though we don't necessarily know what happened to Wayne Palmer).

I think it teetered on the line in Season 6 but with the writers strike, I'm willing to give it some more time.
