what a game! i had to catch it on MASN, but the crowd looked great and was loud, and the guys just continue to play hard. seth curry is just special and jesse is the man! what a gutsy kid. now some rest before gardner-webb!

Monroe actually only had 8 points, but his 13 rebounds hurt us for sure. So far (except for the UNCA game of course) our zone has been effective in limiting bigger players from scoring inside. Mason didn't jack up as many 3s as W&M, but I'm sure Larranaga would have rather gone inside more.

it was great to see even though we shot poorly our energy on defense never went away, that is what kept us in it...and then Seth just did his thing....Seth and Jesse are fun to watch!

I watched the game on MASN. It was exciting enough to make Mrs. '01 get nervous. (That doesn't happen for basketball games.)

This was my first chance to see the team and I am really impressed. UVA, W&M, and GMU in a week! Not a bad resume.

My laptop overheated with Seth heading to the FT line with :11 to go in OT ... I panicked and ran onto my wife's desktop in speed that would make Usain Bolt proud.

I am so excited we are winning these kind of games...it gives our freshmen experience in clutch situations and we're coming through!!

our defense has been so much more active since the unc-a game...and for some reason the haters haven't come on and admitted we have improved in that area...I mean there are areas we still need improvement...no doubt about it...I just wish people who complained so loudly after our loss would get on here and at least admit we are improving...

oh well...so happy we won this game!! now onto Gardner Webb!!

WOW, what a game! Tonight was my first game in the Vines Center in years. The whole family enjoyed the night. The team is young and talented. There is a lot of room for improvement, but it sure is fun to win while you are working on your game. The crowd was decent. It grew as the game got underway. The student section was great. I was not sure if the students were going to show up in big numbers about 25 minutes before tip-off. In the last 5 minutes of the game, it was loud. With a sold-out crowd and fan intensity like the last few minutes and overtime, the Vines Center can rival any place in the country. The half-time entertainment was great. OK, it was my kids that were in the "get dressed and dribble" race across the court. They each scored a Blizzard from DQ.
Winning always beats losing.



Scar, sorry I missed you after the game. My kids were tired and we needed to make a run to DQ.

I'm not sure why you would abandon your man in any circumstance when you know he is will be taking the shot, but good players like Curry capitalize on any opening you give them. All I know is Dell Curry could make a fortune selling his sperm on eBay these days.

First chance to view the 08 Flames. Very impressed with the speed of the players, I hope the chemistry is as good as it seems to be, fundamentals were great, especially boxing out on rebounds, good overall game knowledge.

We will have some losses we shouldn't due to the youth factor, but boy these guys are fun to watch. If you didn't know who was the BC preseason POY going into the game, don't know that you could guess after the game. Hope we can remain unselfish going forward, we have some exciting talent.

I was there. It was a blast. Good win to continue our superiority in the Commonwealth.

The team is young for sure and I expect some losses that will make me sad, but at the same time it's really easy to get behind this team. They're playing so hard and finding ways to win despite some obvious disadvantages this season. Given the youth factor, I'm just going to have fun watching them this season no matter what happens.

Also: I wish I could buy Seth Curry a christmas present this year.
