Theme parks are a dying business nationwide. People have found other ways to spend their money during the summer.

Busch Gardens is OK, but its not all that special unless they've added something amazing in the past few years.

Busch Gardens was at least as crowded this year as it has always been. They're still having to turn people away every weekend in the summer because they've reached capacity.

I think Griffon is pretty amazing. Besides this, BG offers some of the best variety when it comes to the overall park experience (food, rides, shows, shops, theming, scenery/landscaping), thus it appeals to a wider demographic than many amusement parks. Believe me, they have a lot to lose if things go south.

Agree. The African one down in Florida is a pretty good one too (at least it was when I was down there over 7 years ago), although I don't like it as much because I prefer the Europe theme more. BG always seems to have a healthy plethora of customers when I go.

Just b/c the Texas and major theme parks such as Disneyworld and Disneyland are performing poorly, does not mean that its dying nationwide. The Anheuser-Busch and the Cedar Fair chains are doing quite well.
