Haha. I wish I was still a kid and thought I knew everything.

I heard the person at the indoor track who was handling parking tags tell three coaches and another athletics staff member that they had to get the staff and athletic stickers.
Geez, cranky much? :)

I just can't stand when people find any little thing possible about our school to whine about.

When I posted I had not seen your post, so thanks for assuming first and making yourself look like an idiot without me having to do any work.

Sounds like a corrupt system to me, segregating all the staff members by area and then indirectly telling lower staff members that they aren't important and have to settle for "staff" parking instead of being able to park close to their office. What a great system, further evidence of devaluing employees...

Um, that's why you read the entire thread to see if your questions were answered.

You are enabling all the complainers by arguing with them about "any little thing"

Roger that.

I wish I was smart enough to hide behind a fake name so I could say things without repercussions.

I will agree that Liberty could value the staff more but this isn't a big deal. It may be an inconvenience at first but this is still better than a lot of colleges. It's much better than any of the ones I've been to.

I agree with you SuperJon. When I was at University of Maryland, it was almost 2 miles from where we had to park to the building we were in.

I think the athletic department has made a good example with that lunch thing they had for faculty. I'm sure Fumble would agree :)

the david place pit is really not THAT far from places...the only reason I ever hated parking there before is because of the holes in the ground and the huge rocks in the middle of the parking lot...but that is being fixed, they are having a bus run through there and they are putting in a nice sidewalk...its really not going to be that bad...if the people who park there really feel like they are being under appreciated, then they are just looking for something to complain about...no matter what they did somebody would complain...this is by far the most organized, well thought out parking/transportation plan that Liberty has ever put together...yes, some things still need to be worked on...but come on..stop being over dramatic kids...the staff are not under appreciated...calm down

Might not be a good deal for those faculty in Campus North...as apparently the law school students still have a number of marked places in the designated area and the area was FULL by 815 this morning. That is just word of mouth, and I will have more of an idea tomorrow.

I think you will live if you have to walk 50 extra feet. I parked at CN this morning and there was plenty of parking by the seminary at 8. If you want to be closer than that you better apply for an executive position

Staff can't park in the upper part of that parking lot (unless you go past TRBC towards the emergency services call center). Staff parks in the lower part closer to the LCA soccer field & the new road.

By the way, it doesn't bother me.

OK, maybe 75 feet. still, its not that far. if you can't make it, either get a treadmill or a handicap sticker

Is that what you honestly think?

My percentage was exaggerated, yes, but I don't think the heads of departments are parking in staff spots.

I really hope they improve the signage for the new parking, b/c the old signs are still up around CN.

Ha. 75 ft is still way off.

But, like I said, it doesn't bother me. However, there are a few persons I know that have difficulty walking, but they can't get a handicap sticker. Those are the ones that be affected by this change more than other.
