I live in the sticks and don't have cable. As such, my wife and I were flipping around our 4 channels last night and ended up watching "America's Got Talent" which is basically a glorified gong show. Anyway, as we're watching the show, we decided to add a word to the lexicon that denotes a person or concept that is "earnest, well-intentioned and yet unwittingly and unequivocally lame."
And that word is ---- Hasselhoff.
Allow me to use it in a sentence: "When my 80-year old grandmother got up and did the 'running man' at my sister's wedding reception, it was just so Hasselhoff."
Another: "My girlfriend wrote me a song for my birthday. I love her but it was really Hasselhoff."
One more: "Coastal Carolina's attempts at academic credibility are best described as Hasselhoff."
