I would appreciate, very much, if you would take down my photo. I am not ashamed of it, as I am, very much an avid Obama supporter. If you people keep on posting pictures of me, and saying slanderous things about me, I will take legal action. My uncle is a judge, and I will ask him what legal action I can take, if you do not honor my request.

Also, Obama supporters are not clueless. Because we stand up for something we believe in and actually know what we are talking about, doesn't make us clueless.

Again, remove my photo. Stop saying slanderous things about me. And again, I will take legal action if you don't.

You can't tell people to take your picture down when you post it on a public website such as Facebook. That's just dumb.

And really, if you were as smart as you thought you were, you would figure out how to take it down yourself. It's not that hard.

And your uncle would tell you that, if anything that harmed you was said in thie electronic transmission of data, that it would be LIBEL, and not SLANDER.

Or is that a law that your boy BHO is trying to change, too? So that anyone who says anything about him will be shut up by the law?

The government isn't gonna do everything for ya, you gotta step up and be responsible...

Did that start the whole TV announcer craze of '07? Ah, good times.

It was six reps. And that's because I took pictures. This one is up publicly on Facebook.

Just glancing through the thread, I didn't pick up on anything that could be considered libel (or slander???) anyway. A few hints of mean comments, but nothing more than that. Something tells me not even an Obama-ite judge could get away with a suit on this one...unless he went to MSNBC or CNN about it. Then we'd have a story!

Legal action. Hilarious. I really don't think you have a leg to stand on there. But that's not important.

What do you stand for? If you stand for anything that's one more thing than BHO.

Nothing could happen. Back when my deal was going on Scorcho checked with a lawyer for me. The picture was in a public place and we're not making money off of this website. There's nothing she can do but whine and complain. If she would've asked nicely, chances are things could've been done to fix the problem. However, she came up here demanding things and being a word that I can't say so obviously she's going to get attacked even more.

Quit picking on her. Let her get a little whining out of her system. I want her to stay. This could be an epic political discussion.

I agree. Seriously. I would like to get some info from a Barack supporter. So please, Michelle, you'll have to excuse my friends. They're a little slow. Hang around and talk some election '08 with us. Shoot, invite your friends to take part. This could be some really good discourse if everyone behaves. (They might even take the photo down.)

I wasn't particularly comfortable with the pic going up originally. But nothing legally is wrong in this thread. And I agree with those who hope BarackNRoll08 joins our discussion of the topic at hand. I get frustrated talking to Barack supporters here in Texas who have zero idea what he stands for on any subject. So having someone who is wiling to have a valid discussion on the presidential race from an opposing viewpoint is welcomed with open arms.

i really would love to hear what this girl has to say...anytime I try to discuss Obama with a supporter they are nothing but defensive when asking simple questions about what he means by change....

so...Michelle...please...since you say you know what you are talking about can you please educate me? because honestly I would love to know....especially since it is going to pain me a ton to cast a vote for McCain...if that is what I end up doing, I may vote 3rd party....

anyways....we're all waiting

I talked to a couple friends of mine who have discussed matters like this in law school (both have their JD):

1. "the first party responsible for any comments are/is the website administrators...secondly she has to prove "damage" as a result of slander or libel and since she probably hasnt lost any money due to this, then she has no legal basis to file a suit (Friend #1

2. if she posted it on the net already then no because it's free game once it's out there...no take backs...plus, she'd have to spend money on an atty...thats a case they'd only take hourly (Friend #2)
