Has anyone heard of this? I'm not going to lie I'm thinking about getting one...although it's late in the season so I may get it in the later part of the winter.

Wow...that's really interesting

Naff has them in stock...I'm hoping by next year there will be a few with a few thousand miles on them to knock off that sticker price...but as of right now resale has been right along with the sticker price

I never did get comfortable on my last motorcycle...just never felt stable....this would change all that...if one wheel leaves the ground it will apply the proper brakes to make sure you get it back on the road....pretty crazy the amount of technology that went into this thing

What’s better than careening through the deep blue sea on a hot August day or traversing a winter wonderland during a crisp January morning? How about cruising warm, sticky asphalt any time of year? Bombardier Recreational Products, makers of seadoos and skidoos, has just introduced the CanAm Spyder, a three-wheeled beast of a motorcycle. The Spyder boasts a race-proven 990cc Rotax V-Twin engine hitched to a rear wheel over half a foot wide. Those 7 inches of rubber in back force all 106 horses up through the two front wheels, while the Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) and Vehicle Stability System (VSS) harness those ponies into a thoroughly enjoyable ride. VSS is a permanently enabled safety system featuring anti-lock brakes, traction control and stability control. Engineered in conjunction with Bosch, VSS prevents any slipping or sliding of the Spyder’s legs brought on by poor riding technique. The Spyder is available in a sequential manual 5-speed and a sequential electronic 5-speed transmission, both of which include a transmission-based reverse. This Y-architecture is a paradigm shift in the powersports industry. With a top speed of 110mph, a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds, and a dry weight of 699 lbs. this machine devoured pavement like a tarantula does its prey. I hit 95 mph with ease on a three-hour tour of the Garden State’s beautiful shoreline, and the Spyder’s “flowing-edge design” turned heads faster than bronzed curves in a white bikini. Only available in Millenium Yellow or Full Moon Silver for now ($14,999), this CanAm fan is hoping for an All Black Widow edition in the near future. -MotoMatt Cokeley

I remember seeing the attention when it was first unveiled. But I haven't seen them on the road ... and here in Houston that is a bit surprising with Smart cars everywhere.

Yeah there is a dealer along one of the freeways here in Houston with several out front. I saw one on the road awhile back. They look pretty sweet.

Yeah, saw one on 460 this morning. They're selling them over at the kawasaki dealer. I was there two weeks ago and some old guy bought one and drove it off the lot. I think there are a few driving around the burg, driven by old guys.

Vehicles like this are also a very good way to advertise any business, especially when they first come out. So go buy one, paint it up with your logo, and get a nice little tax break. Now I'm sure some accountant is gonna come on here and call me an idiot, but don't you listen to them, HMO, you follow your dream.

My take is basically that they are a first model which is tough to buy when are you talking about anything.....reivews look good, but price point does seem a bit high as well. I would also be curious to know much insurance would cost on these things but i never got that far. 30mpg gallon is good but when you consider a 15k price tag is not that amazing....

But of course i do want one.....and the though of next spring is still being debated, id like to see what kind of reviews they get over the first 6-8 months from owners before i dive in.....

Posty, are you old enough to remember the AMC Pacer? Ugliest car ever made: a fishbowl on wheels. :vomit

Pretty much anything out of the ordinary is like that. If you've ever driven a car that gets people's heads turning, you'd like it.

On the other hand, people normally choose a vehicle that looks cool. If you think this looks cool, why not choose it?

the difference is this thing is the ugliest thing ever made and people would be looking at you not because it looks good because it looks like something from outer space.....

i am not saying getting nice things is terrible or anything, if you can afford it, not yourself out...but i mean come on....this thing is uglier then sin...

and Cider...I am not really old enough to really remember a Pacer but I have seen pictures....and you're right, it is a pretty darn ugly car....

The motorcycle one is not really my cup of tea. Although it could grow on me. But I think that car one looks pretty cool.
