BRAIDWOOD - Division I soccer program Liberty University held a soccer camp this past weekend, and recently-graduated Reed-Custer goaltender Randi Kelsey was in attendance. Now the only thing left to be decided is whether or not the Flames have a uniform for her in the coming years.
“She had some options. She went to Oral Roberts last summer and talked to them because her family wanted her to go to a Christian school. She also went to Olivet Nazarene University and they offered her a full ride,” Comets coach Dennis Pommier said. “But after she went to Liberty, she fell in love with the school. They were out of scholarships at the time she decided to go there, but there's hope that after graduations next year that she'll be in line for one.”
Kelsey's father Bob mentioned that Randi's heart was set from the moment she went to visit the university and that the right thing to do was to let the other schools know right away.
