i wouldn't count on that. I think we are a long ways before we jump up to that level. there are a lot of things that would have to take place. i.e attendance, facilities, scholarships and other things as well. And i think we have to play very well on the level we are at before we make that jump into the big time college football level.

There is an NCAA moratorium that keeps anyone from stepping up for several years. But we certainly have our sights set on I-A membership. But when that happens is anybody's guess at this point.

Flaming probably has heard the rumors based on the statement Dr. J made a couple years ago. But while I-A membership is our goal, I highly doubt any BCS leagues will be letting in anybody else as long as their money faucet keeps pumping.

I know you're only half-heartedly suggesting that, but it would be impossible for LU to do what Notre Dame does.

And they only do it because of NBC's TV deal being so sweet. If their football team were to ever join a conference (the Big East is actually the most logical at this point), their TV contract with NBC would be gone, since CBS and ABC/ESPN sign their deals with conferences.

Just floating an idea out there to see what you guys think......What if the Liberty Channel were to ever get picked up by DirecTV or DISH Network? What would you all think of that?
Coaching changes

It appears your intel was on the mark.
