Canada is turning into a nazi state as far as i'm concerned. preachers are already getting in trouble for speaking out on homosexuality. next thing you know they'll be turning down medical treatment to fat people because they haven't taken the "proper" precautions to be healthy. it's happening over in europe now, it's only inevitable.

I'm fat, and fully understand that my weight, if I don't fix it before I get older, will cause health problems that similar aged people who weigh less won't have to deal with. If I don't take care of it, I know that I'll have to pay higher premiums and think that I should pay higher premiums. Either take care of your body and pay low rates or don't and pay higher rates. It's not that big of a deal. That's why I've taken actions to try and fix things now as opposed to 10-15-20 years from now.

Let me clarify....

I'm not talking about the average "fat" person that can still get around & engage in some physical activity, etc....I'm thinking about the morbidly obese that refuse to attempt to correct their situation, that continually drive up health care costs. They also cause me to steer clear of Golden Corral.

yes, but over in Europe, it's ANYONE that is overweight, rather they be 5 or 500 lbs. over weight. doesn't matter if you are 5 lbs. overweight and still really healthy, they are beginning to completely deny them health coverage, even if it's for sicknesses and disease not related to their weight, like cancer (people don't get cancer for being overweight do they?), for example.

stuff like this is all a slippery slope as far as i'm concerned. next thing you know they'll do something ridiculous like saying poor people can't by name brand foods and are only allowed to by the generic store brand. or they'll say poor people can only have X amount of children, people can only go out to eat X amount of times, people can only use the internet X amount of hours, etc. slippery slope folks, a slippery slope that will make earth a socialist world full of the citizentry having every decision for them made by the government. ask the folks who lived in socialist russia how great it was having the government dictate what everyone is allowed to do.

It's just like the classic budgetary games people play when they want to get more in their budget. THe government will seek incremental changes year after year and gradually take away your freedom (the incremental devious game pattern). Or they'll get a small thing changed and then later get even bigger things changed (the camel's nose devious game pattern). These two tactics have been proven to be successful in government for thousands of years and it will continue to be successful.

stuff like this only causes the death of freedom, free choice, and society, and thus makes everyone's life worse, not better.

I'll never be "skinny." It's not my body type. I just don't want to look like a pregnant woman.

I will always be broad chested and broad shouldered. I don't have the body type to be small or skinny.

If I were to way 250 pounds I would look like most people do at 200.

SJ-just remember, the key is sticking with the diet and exercise. It'll take forever, there's no fast way unfortunately...
