Now that Bill Weaver has been signed, about all we have left is speculation about a new assistant coach. I have absolutely no insider information whatsoever, but here's to hoping Sly or Scar will tease us with more cryptic hints that will reference mascots, geography, or movie titles.

The Bobcats website does not show Dell on their coaching staff, although I think he may have worked with them as a part-time shooting coach.

A little more digging and I found him on their marketing staff as "Team Ambassador" (along with Muggsey Bogues).

Why would he pick one son over the other? Chances are, he'd want to stay out of the coaching ranks while his kids are playing so he can see both of them as much as possible.

because one team is hiring and the other isn't. its not choosing sons, its taking a job that a son happens to be at. doubt it would happen, but it gives us something to talk about

But as a parent, and a parent who likely has to cash to spend, why would you give up watching both of your sons in college? I just can't see a dad doing that.

yeah, it does seem unrealistic...its a nice thought, that is for sure...but I know if I had 2 sons playing college basketball and had the means to watch them both play, i would much rather do that then work for a school...

I dunno, I just think its possible, and it would be huge for the program and the recruiting class of '09. Who wouldn't want to play for a staff that includes Dell Curry?

SuperJon, get off your high horse. This will probably be his last year on the college level. The only reason he isn't going into the draft now, apparently, is that he wants to get some experience at point guard. I have heard everyone say that. If he has another season like he did this year, he will probably go to the NBA early.

Saying that was not dumb. Superjon, I love you man, but when you act like you know everything and constant put people down when you disagree with them, it makes people not like you. Would it kill you to not be a jerk for once?

If someone says something I think is that dumb, then yea, I'm calling them on it. When I say something that dumb, I expect people to call me on it. I could care less if people liked me. We've had this discussion here numerous times during the NCAA tournament and anyone with half a brain knows that Stephen will stay all four years.

It's safe to say that at some point watching Stephen Curry nail NBA 3-pointers against Wisconsin, LeBron James thought about penetrating and dishing to the Davidson sharpshooter.

He and any other NBA players will have to wait.

After Kansas ended Davidson's dream run in the NCAA tournament on Sunday, Curry said that he will return to school for his junior season.

"I'm definitely coming back," he said. "I don't think I'm ready."

Speculation began after the son of former NBA player Del Curry went off for 40 points in a first-round win over Gonzaga. Thirty more points in a victory over Georgetown turned whispers into questions. The uproar began, though, when Curry dropped 33 points on Wisconsin to carry the Wildcats into the Elite Eight -- with Cleveland Cavaliers star James in attendance.

Purely in terms of Curry’s NBA career, don’t you think this is a poor decision? He put together one of the greatest individual three-game runs in NCAA history and buzz around him will most likely never be higher. If he wants to go back to school to bulk up (he was definitely hampered a bit by bigger, physical players), I would say that the best place to do that would be in the NBA. You always see a huge physical difference in players once they get locked in with NBA strength and conditioning coaches full-time.

The only other “basketball” reason I can think of for Curry to stay another year would be to gain experience running the point. Davidson’s All-Conference First Team player Jason Richards is a senior this season, meaning Curry should see a lot more time at the 1 next season. The thinking being that if he shows he can play point guard, his draft stock will go higher.

How can you call someone an idiot for thinking that it is at least possible Stephen will leave after next year?

I think if he has a good season next year in his new role as a point guard and Davidson wins a few games in the tournament again, he will consider going into the draft in 2009. If his stock is high and he knows he is going to get drafted as one of the top picks, why not go early? He can still finish up his degree.

It is also likely that because he doesn't have a financial problem, he may stay for his senior season. But if Davidson goes far again next year, I think he will leave early.

Calling someone dumb just because they have an opinion in ridiculous man. You could have just said, I think he will stay all four years or I don't think he will leave early instead of insulting me.

Dell Curry is rumored to be in the running for the open Chicago Bulls coaching position.

normally you'd hire a player's dad on staff to get that player signed. I guess we do normally do things a little backwards. We need Nwosu plain and simple. If he's coaching the Nigerian teams already, he's obviously got the experience and he's obviously his own connection for 7 foot Nigerian players.

As much of a class act as he is, I think Dell being the Bulls head coach is a stretch. I don't think he has the resume. If he were to come here, it would free up a scholarship though. My guess is he'll stay right where he is in his cushy role of Bobcats "Team Ambassador" and enjoy seeing as many of both son's games as possible.

We don't need to hire Julius to benefit from his connections to Nigerian talent. If our staff can just establish a solid relationship with him based on a mutual desire to see LU basketball succeed, he could be even more valuable where he is.
