Come on guys - let's break some news on here. That is what message boards do. What rumors are you hearing. Beyond stating a fact, I believe everything else is legal.
I heard Sewell was in, but haven't heard anything for a month - what is the deal.
Is Rose truly a thug? Or is he a Christian that made some really poor choices? If the later - let's give him a shot - someone will.
Sewell's a no and we can forget about little Rocco...he met with UGA head coach Mark Richt not to long ago...I dont claim to know a lot but I think anytime you get a sit down with the head guy they are pretty serious about you...but I'm not counting out PSU...they love the Rocco name up there Im sure they'll love his talents as well

Ok, that's completely illegal from a recruiting standpoint for him to have a sit down with a head coach. He's still a sophomore. He can't speak to a coach until he's a junior in any sort of "official" way. The only way he could've talked to him would have been at a clinic or a camp and even then it couldn't have been a one-on-one conversation.
did i say sit down...i meant bumped into...

Peter Rose is not a thug I know him and his family they good people. Why he made this poor lifestyle choice only God and Peter knows. With that said I dont think that he would come to Liberty..who knows how the case will pan out but I dont see him getting any jail time. He will get a second chance somewhere and if anyone saw the state title games that I saw with him on running wild on the turf..I still think he has a chance at high Division 1 ball...maybe have to go hargrave or juco...but his talent level is elite to say the least ...think of the Appy State QB ..Rose has those type of gears and brakes. Liberty wont even try to get him I seriously doubt it..I would love to see him get himself together enroll at lu and walkon that would be a story...but I can see JMU,Richmond,Appy St etc etc all calling his phone off the hook...oh they already are.
Well he still is facing serious charges ...the best case for him probaly would be to go juco and show that he is "who everyone thought he was a 3.5 gpa, prom king.mr amherst etc person... I know he is a good kid and I also know for a fact that alot of kids indeed do smoke marijuana and even bring it to school. Its wrong and def needs to be stopped but by persecuting kids that have never been in trouble before...I say go after the dealers and the people that grow and import it...but really wouldnt several prominent cigar company go out of business....along with the late nite menu's at several fast food resturants...lol
the roanoke fishwrap says fitzgerald is headed to k-state.
Flames add Robertson
Former Liberty High School standout Daryl Robertson is the latest link in the pipeline between Virginia's two Division I-A programs and Division I-AA Liberty, where former Virginia assistant Danny Rocco is preparing for his third season.
Robertson, a 6-2, 296-pound defensive lineman, played in two games for Virginia Tech in 2007 as a redshirt freshman and had three tackles. Robertson, a first-team All-Group AA pick as a senior in high school, will be eligible for the Flames next season and will have three seasons of eligibility left.
Robertson will join one-time Virginia Tech teammate Kent Hicks on the Flames' roster, but all five ex-UVa players on the Flames' 2007 team were seniors.
Rocco inquired about the availability of Cavaliers defensive end Jeff Fitzgerald after he left UVa, but Fitzgerald is planning to join another former Cavalier assistant, Ron Prince, at Kansas State.
I'll be honest and state that I am surprised he went to another school where he would have to sit out an entire year and be a full two years away from the draft. But I fully understand his wanting to play for his former coach. Best of luck to him in the Little Apple.
im surprised too sly. his relationship with ron prince was pretty tight from all accounts. i hope it all turns out well for him because he is a very special player.
How do you figure? His goal is to play in the NFL and I'm sure his decision was completely based on where he felt he was comfortable and would he be able to get noticed enough to get drafted. His situation is a complete parallel with Vince's and he ended up not getting drafted. How could that not affect his decision?
*please disregard this post if dated before 2017 and accept my apologies*
You can get drafted regardless of where you play, that's been proven countless times by countless teams. He was obviously very close to Ron Prince and wanted to stay in the FBS.
You can't tell me that if Vince got drafted in the 6th or 7th round that would have made Fitz's mind up to come here.
There is so much more going into these decisions than just where he feels more comfortable getting drafted. Yes, that has a lot to do with it, but there are so many other reasons as well.
