a few cities have them in parks that activate after hours....there is one that you has a pond that is stocked with trout....i'll go fishing late at night and i kind of have to sneak to the pond so i don't set them off....

but yeah it squeels for a good 20 minutes if set off and its annoying..

Sounds like teenage discrimination...

It can be heard by most people in their teens and early 20s who still have sensitive hair cells in their inner ears. Whether you can hear the noise depends on how much your hearing has deteriorated — how loud you blast your iPod, for example, could potentially affect your ability to detect it.
