We were talking about the offense running some option plays. Brock would not be the ideal candidate to run an option. Brown would be, but not Brock. The direct runs for Brock are fine though.

He's not the ideal guy for an option play, no, but I was responding to Dance's statement that we're in trouble if Brock's running. I would submit that, no, we're not. The poor schmuck who has to tackle him is.

I know that Brock has run with some success...he just does not seem like the QB you would want running most of your read plays and option looks. Mike Brown is better suited for running those more frequently because of his speed and agility. Brock could probaly run and run pretty well, but he isnt exactly Steve Young.

Yeah, he had a great catch on a 40 yard play from Brock in the scrimmage. I missed the last few practices due to a really bad cold but from what I can tell we may not have a #1 and #2 receiver next year but more like a #1 and #1a in Bolden and Crawford

Everything we do is as full-contact as it gets. Every drill, every 7-on-7, every 11-on-11. Our practices are "full speed thud." That means the guys go full speed during the play, wrap up the tackle, but don't bring the player to the ground. This lets the guys go full speed but allows them to keep the injuries to a minimum from tackling. You're not going to see a ton of great hits in practice, but you'll see them going full-contact and full speed.
