i didn't really feel like the heels had a better game plan. duke had just as much chance at winning that game. a poor performance out of our senior, stall ball, easy shots missed, turnovers at crucial times... i truly felt like duke gets both the blame for their loss and the heels' win.

The UNC game plan in the first half was flawless. Don't give anything up on the wing and make Duke earn it inside, which they couldn't. They let up a bit in the second half which allowed Duke to get some penetration and dish-outs for uncontested shots; however, they got out to pressure when it mattered.

i can agree with that. the first half also continues to prove that when duke is off from 3-land, they're hurtin. unc did play some good D, but even open shots in the 1st half wouldn't fall. anyhow, not to say that it is going to happen like this... but i wouldn't be totally surprised to see neither duke nor unc in the acc tourney championship game.

UNC was playing a match up 2-3 zone in the first half and then went man to man in the second half and DOOK shredded up our defense with the pick and rolls and spreading us out. then we took the lead and went back to that match up zone which thankfully late in the second half helped us pull away.

But, the game is closer than that. Just a few free throws at the end to extend the margin.
