LU matches up well with this team, however, I have some concerns with potential officating issues tonight. Let's face it, the big south and espn would love to showcase the KG-freakshow on Saturday. Afterall, it's hard not to be at least mildly curious the first time that you see the guy play. So, the smart money has to be on Ashville winning the trip to the dance.

Having said that, It's gonna be much harder than it should be to pull this thing off tonight, but if we do, expect the momentum from that acheivement to carry over to a big W on Saturday and a trip to the NCAA's.

I disagree... It is MUCH better for the Big South (in terms of appearances etc.) if LU wins and Winthrop hosts the finals. BSC does not want the championship in Justice Center.

Kenny George is a big deal no matter what and the ratings are jumping that much because of him... Furthermore, they'll find a way to showcase him in the NIT if Asheville loses.

I'm nuts? Actually, Asheville was guaranteed a bid in the NIT due to being the #1 seed and holding the tie break over Winthrop. Regular season champion in the Big South gets an auto-bid.
