Just one woman who didn't like that Schfourteenteen was yelling at Coach Baucom. He never said anything even close to crossing the line, was just being very annoying, and she kept complaining to him and event staff but the event staff said they had no problem with it.

We also had some people get mad as us for chanting "Whole Dang Team" when Reggie scored at the end.

TeeJay's 14 assists--is that any kind of single game LU record? On the news tonight, I think DC said it was a BSC tournament record.

He had 15 against Coastal, it's not even a personal best.

I got yelled at for the "Whole dang team" and I was only there with them for 7 minutes. I told him that he was their whole team so there was nothing wrong with what I said...I told him that he really is kinda good and he'd get some playing time even on our team. Ha

I thought Anthony Smith's one-handed alley oop dunk was much better--too bad that dunk didn't make Sports Center, but it did make DC's WSET broadcast.

That was awesome, I was like YES it's us! But smitty's dunk was better. O well, Teejay to Ace still good.

From the Big South release:
Ohman’s seven three-point field goals tied a Big South Tournament record and a Vines Center mark as well. Jenkins poured in 18 points, dishing out six assists and pulling down six caroms. Bannister dished out 14 assists, including 10 in the opening stanza. Bannister’s helper mark also set a Big South Tournament record.

And here is the recap from Scribe ...
Liberty leaps into the Big South semifinals

By Chris Lang
Lynchburg News & Advance
March 4, 2008

Sure, Liberty was trying to run the clock down on VMI's season. But the shot was too open, too appetizing, for Anthony Smith to pass up.

And why would he? The way he and his Liberty teammates were shooting Tuesday night, it almost wouldn't have made sense. So Smith rose and shot from the left corner, and the basketball tickled twine.

It was one of 17 3-pointers the Flames hit on a record-setting night at the Vines Center, as Liberty outlasted the Keydets 103-88 to advance to Thursday's Big South tournament quarterfinals at UNC Asheville.

The Flames won a Big South tournament game for the first time since the 2003-04 season, erasing the bad memories of three straight opening-round defeats, including two at home.

Did it surprise anyone else that VMI looked more gassed than LU in that fast pace game???? That's what VMI is known for (not as much this year) but still, I couldnt believe it.

I believe it is bc VMI started to force the marathon, but we refused to play thier game. We did aa good job the 2nd half of setting the pace.

Yeah, the missed dunk by ACE was unfortunet, but it was still awesome. I'm sure he'll make up for it in Ashville; two-fold!

what was the deal with the crowd last night? There was like noises coming out of people's mouths, and their hands were hitting together. It was something I haven't seen all season.

HMO, were you sitting near JE last night? Because I could have sworn I heard you talking to the refs over the radio! The crowd sounded great on the radio, but the VMI crowd sounded big and loud too. Were there a lot of them there last night? Or were they just closer to the broadcasters?

Props to Scar for fitting in ETSU Dunk talk on the game broadcast last night. I especially loved how you said that you never dove on the floor in your career.
This was bar far one of the best games I've seen all year.
