please keep a close friend of mine and his wife in prayer.

A city cop; he was bludgeoned in the head last night in a brawl while attempting to make an arrest. Thankfully, he was able to retain possession of his weapon despite the suspect's attempt to get it from him- but he is currently in the trauma center with major head trauma.

yes, he's a medic- and was my partner for about 3 yrs.

I spoke with him today- he's been d/c from the trauma center and is now home.

Physically, he's going to be ok after a while- I'm concerned about his mental health as well, as this is a very traumatic thing to get over. Only because he's an absolute OX did he survive.

quick update-

my buddy is back on his feet, saw him on the range today at the academy- he's back to his normal self and eagerly looking forward to being released back onto patrol.

he's got a great attitude and looking at the whole thing as a valuable learning experience.
