It was an entertaining game for a impartial observer such as myself...The first half was a bit sloppy, CSU rushed shots and Bannister kept trying to force it to McLean when he wasn't open, but Ohman hit some open threes to keep the LU offense going (and he even passed it to Jeremy Anderson at least 2 or 3 times tonight, since I remember that was a point of discussion on here at some point).
Both teams executed well in the 2nd half, CSU just hit more threes and protected the ball a little better. I think I heard that CSU shot 50% in the 2nd half, hit 9 threes, and only had 2 turnovers. They were much more patient in the 2nd half on offense and worked for open shots, and Warren, Carter, Moore, and Bailey all were hitting when they were open. McLean, Smith, and Bannister all were productive in the 2nd half, but they didn't get much help (though I think Anderson hit a couple of threes early in the half)...Porter and Jenkins were non-factors the whole game.
One question I have. With like 15-20 seconds left (not sure on the exact time), CSU hit a pair of FTs to go up 6, and then LU puts Layer into the game and takes out Anthony Smith. Granted, a comeback wasn't likely, but I was surprised that a very strong 3-point shooter in Smith (who was shooting well in the 2nd half) was the one taken out of the game. Not sure if there was a miscommunication or what, but I would've figured that he would've been helpful in that spot (though like I said, a comeback would've been tough).
