He is GREAT friends with Matt Doherty & has said if he had a son, he would love for him to play for Roy Williams. He just made the mistake of going to dook. Other than that, he's great.

I used to like Vitale as well, but I think his best years are behind him.

I didn't hate him at all when I met him in person... He was pretty cool and a good host. (Went to a party for my Uncle's Boss, who was running for Senate or something)

Raftery is the best but Bilas is right behind him. I like the guy who interviewed Katie Feenstra (he was doing sideline that day) when she said, "why not Liberty" but I can't think of his name. Len Elmore is really good too and in fact Len is who I emulate in my style the most (if I actually have one :P ). I really like Marques Johnson on the PAC 10 games. He has a lot of flavor but he still is a solid analyst. Johnson is another one I try to emulate. Raftery is a quote machine and everyone uses his terms like shuffle the puppies and the kiss! Raftery and I have had a couple of conversations in the past few years and he couldn't be a nicer guy. I hope to see him again at the Final 4. Gus Johnson and Kevin Harlan really make the NCAA tournament great but guys, they are both Play by Play guys.

I'd like to think I am pretty good too and could hang with some of these guys...One can dream :dance I do know that when I watch the game back on TIVO that I don't annoy myself so I must be doing something right.

Yeah I was thinking in general "broadcaster" not color commentator. I guess I would go with Raftery, I do like Elmore as well. Gus is the man though.

Scar: You sound exactly like Clyde Frazier. Just throw in more big words. Clyde tries to learn a new vocab word every day and work it into his broadcasts. Next broadcast, use the word 'vexing'.

I think I will do that Kel. I have not heard Frazier but I have been told I sound like him though. I like the new word idea. I don't like to use too many big words on the air. I save those for my day job. I don't want to vex my audience :P

I don't get MSG either but I used to listen to a lot of Knicks games on the Radio (660 am) back in the day. My dad and I always got a kick out of Clyde.
