I guess it depends on the resumes of the other teams and who those 2 losses were to. But from what I saw last year, teams that I thought would get in didn't and the teams that did get in seemed to have a more difficult schedule, even if they didn't have as good of a record.

I did a count at the end of last season of all the FCS teams with at least 7 D1 wins (yeah, I had time) and I came up with a grand total of 22. That's it.
This is why Elon and/or The Citadel and/or Ga Southern were left out and 5 CAA teams got in. The committee didn't have a choice.
We only had 6 D1 wins last year and, while this isn't a weak schedule, I think that this schedule is geared directly toward eliminating that problem for us next year. Frankly, the committee's consideration of "strength of schedule" is mostly about whether or not you faced D1 competition.
