The IUP hockey team returned home in the early hours of Sunday morning battered and bruised.
The team took a weekend-long shellacking, losing to Liberty University 8-1 on both Friday and Saturday nights.
"The whole weekend we lost 16-2 and lost a couple of kids for the season so it wasn't successful," Head Coach Dan Hestin said.
Special teams were a large factor in the weekend's scores. The team went 0-18 on the power play over the two-game series and Liberty converted six power play goals on 15 chances over the weekend.
