I have moved to republican until 2012 when I can vote Libertarian.....and I will go out on a limb to say that I am somewhat intelligent (well atleast I think so)

tell me what is the logic in that having republican clubs requires there to be a club for democrats??
i never said it should be required...I just said it should be aloud....i have a feeling it wouldn't be

Yes, there has.

I was going to help start it. (No I am not a Dem, I agree with Postman on this one)

The guy who wanted to start it left school, and I don't feel like leading it, since I am not a democrat.

So, yeah, needless to say, there has been, and probably still is, interest.
Wait why would you help start something you wouldnt be a part of?

Still thinking......

Nope Im still clueless

Liberty High School...Bedford...that pretty much says it all. I have it on good authority that they are not a bunch of rocket scientists over there.

I would be a part of it.

I just wouldn't lead it.

I'm pretty sure (95%) that there WAS a LU Democrats club back in the day :oldhag 88 or 89 (obviously)

I was interested in the Young Republicans' Club, but didn't officially join- but recall a small but vocal group starting that up.

And I have no issue with it, either- I think its a good thing

I agree, Medic. But I don't recall whether it was sanctioned or not.

I would love to see a College Dem organization on campus. When I was a student I would get the strangest looks when I "outed" myself as a Dem of course I would get the same look when I told people that I came from RMWC. I had a few people ask me when I got saved and how a christian can be a Democrat.

If this is serious I would love to be a part of it, even if I am staff.

I'm more interested in knowing how a Democrat got on staff.

Obama is speaking in VA Beach tomorrow afternoon.

Question: What would a skinny white Republican like me look like at a such a rally? I think it would be interesting to witness the insanity that is the Obama campaign first-hand. So, should I break out a blue shirt an go?

Here's a post from someone named Chris Slaughter who says he's an LU student:
Hi all,

I have just sent a letter to Senator John Edwards asking for his support for senator Obama. As a reformed republican, and Liberty University student, I feel that Senator Edwards needs to know that Obama is drawing support from the republican party.
