and HYPE- welcome aboard. I was the one busting your stones about being the top 2 of the league. That just seemed funny in light of recent performance- but really I was more or less thinking of the overall Conference participation by each school- and I just think if schools aren't sponsoring FB, they really haven't committed to DI athletics. No harm meant- we're always glad to have other rabid fans here.

yea, I wish we had football. The past presidents and AD's have shyed away from having it, but now it seems to be changing. I personally don't think that we "need" to have it, although it would be nice. Gonzaga for example does just fine for itself, especially in basketball without having a football program.

yeah- the Zags are the poster children for the "we can be great in DI w/out FB" crowd- but really, how many Gonzaga sports teams OTHER THAN MBB do you hear about?

And everytime this subject comes up - and the same names always are used: Gonzaga, DePaul, Marquette, Providence, Seton Hall, and St. John's.

the point is- most premier DI programs sponsor it.

Again, just a matter of semantics- feel free to stay awhile - there's alot more to argue about around here

For those watching the game on MASN. The game in Wilmington, NC between George Mason and UNC Wilmingotn is currently in a delay with 13:40 left in the 1st half. A light bulb has blown on the floor and they are in a delay due to glass on the court.
