best thing about him is that he will shoot that daggum ball. if he misses 3 shots, 3 consecutive times down the floor, he will STILL shoot on that 4th consecutive time down. i love that...

I knew the first night I saw him at Campbell I would be a fan of his.

I'm excited to see his progression. He's not real athletic, kind of scrappy. You see it on his jump shot--he shuffles his feat a lot. Once he settles down a bit, he will be even more dangerous from beyond the three. I don't think he'll ever start for this team, however, he's good for 6-8 points off the bench, IMO.

Hey guys good luck tommarow night. I'll be making the trip down with some of the guys from our board and somewhere in the 25-50 people overall range I believe. I'm hoping for a good game, but worried it may end up being like our trip to Ashville, play it tough in the first half and than fade away in the 2nd half. You guys have a very solid team and outside of UNCA, have prolly been the most impressive given the 2 really gritty road performances. I think our loss to CCU at home was a fluke and we will still make the top 4 and this game along with the one in HP may go a long way in deciding who gets the 3 and who gets the 4 (with unca/wu the top 2). Overall I think that the 3 pt shooting will favor LU and the home court will help a lot

Mike Jefferson is who I assume you are talking about, he has gotten a little bit better this year and become more of a PG (tied with Bannister, 2nd in the nation in APG) but as fans we still get very frustrated in a love/hate manner when he just starts jacking up threes. It's great like in the WU game when he is hitting them, but it seems like more often than not he isn't.


And great job with the pics the Harris/Carlton one is wonderful.

Thanks, yea I'll try to venture my way down. I think it is awesome you guys stand, it's something we are trying to get the fans to do at every game at HP. I know there are a few of us that would have stood the whole game anyway but hopefully with yall standing it will give the rest of the crew coming down a reason to stand.




As far as Panfan, he has actually deleted is account over at our board. Maybe he is tired of being on an island. I like his energy and enthusiasm but he has to be realistic. And as for me and I read somewhere abour the "gonzaga" quote I had made. I think it is possible, but we certainly aren't there yet and I don't expect to get there in the next few years. I just think with all the new facilities and perks going up around campus we have potentially what it takes to have a very good program if it is run correctly. I just saw earlier today that you guys pulled in a top 50 class and would love for you guys to get to that level before us. There is nothing I would like more than to see the Big South as a whole come up from being a low level mid-major to one of the top mid-major conferences, with the improvements Winthrop, Liberty, and High Point are making I see that has a good possibility in the future.
