From a Delaware fishwrap ...
Delaware’s third contestant was Jonathan Baines, a 17-year-old church choir singer from Smyrna.

Baines sings each week at Townsend Free Will Baptist Church, where his father is the senior pastor.

His version of Little Big Town's "A Little More You" got him into the next round of auditions, which will be held in Hollywood.

It couldn’t have come at a better time for Baines. He already had an audition set for today at Liberty University to be part of their Sounds of Liberty vocal group.

If he is accepted, he will receive a full scholarship to the Virginia university founded by Jerry Falwell.

The man who will audition Baines saw him on “Idol” and immediately called Baines’ father.

“He saw me and said, ‘I can’t wait to meet him. This is going to be great,’” Baines says.

I knew somebody would admit being forced by their spouse to watch it. That guy was awesome. I loved when he offered to sing "I'll Fly Away".

And as far back as I can remember, Sounds of Liberty always were on full rides.

Yep. They travel A LOT. I'd never want to do it.

Yeah, I was friends with a girl who made it for one year, she didn't take any classes that year though.
