No joke, I know some of you don't want it spoiled so I'll give you one last chance to click back

Apparently this was in one of the many commercials for it. And some loser has taken the time to create a gif for us. I'm hotlinking so if you guys see a frog or porn or something, let me know.

I see porn, can't really make it out, but looks like it's of the Atrain variety.

I don't have a clue A: what a Cloverfield is, B: what that blurry mess of a screen shot is, or C: what ANYONE is talking about

It's a movie that didn't have a name for a long time, but it had a lot of previews on TV and in theatres. But there was a lot of destruction, and without explanation. So it got a lot of people curious. But apparently it's a monster movie with some Godzilla type creature.

we watch mostly SpongeBob around these parts. And some sports. And the history channel (when everyone else has gone to bed)

No porn, just a giant frog drawn with a lot of detail.

there is a pop up at the beginning of the movie regarding not to redistribute blah blah blah so i'm assuming its like a copy distributed among the studio higher ups or something...

Do you remember that perfect copy we had of fellowship of the ring like 3 months before it came out? Actually, I think you may have graduated by then. It was a direct rip from the copies that they send to the award selection comittees. Every 30 mins or so at the bottom it would say "For you consideration". It was so awesome.

The MPAA tried to counteract the rips of the discs for the selection committees by sending them special players with a totally different encryption schemes than DVDs. Turns out the people doing the consideration didn't like having DVD players roughly the size of a computer tower sitting around and the encryption screwed up playback a lot. heh. Piracy wins again.
