I know this has been discussed, and I didn't want to start another thread so I'll put it here.

We've had 20+ wins in 4 seasons in our history, but only twice as DI:
1980: 28
1983: 23
1992: 22
1997: 23

We are guaranteed 10 more games and we need 8 wins to get 20. If we were to make it to the championship game, that's 2 wins in the postseason, and we would only need 6 wins in the regular season (very realistic).

We've only had 1 winning season since 1997, and that was in 2004. We need 16 wins (4 more) to guarantee ourselves of a winning record.
