Couple things I noticed

2 Tech's on us, the one on Layer makes me go :dontgetit

We came back, showing alot of character.
Bad start hurt us, bad shooting late in the game hurt us.

Stuff happens, Ill take the way we came back though

WOW...they fought hard...down 13 at one point? I was unable to follow this game like I wanted to but man that's a very good team...I think they proved that against UNC....with a few minutes to go they are down by 10 and fought hard the entire game....thats a good team and we played them tough on the road...great job guys

Coach McK...
..."this loss is on me...I got the technical."

How REFRESHING is it for our head coach to actually take responsibility for his own actions and not place blame elsewhere.

Coach not very happy with how the game was called.

McKay pins the game on himself, notes some issues with refs and taunting by opposing players

Very disappointed

I really like this team

That's life on the road though (except the Vines, although with the screens I've noticed a difference)

This could be your strangest post ever fumble....how many coaches place blame directly on a player for a loss....very few, if any. Every coach is going to place blame on themselves first, if thats refreshing to you what type of college basketball have you been watching?

Rocketfan...I think that there are MANY that know what I am talking about. I shall leave it at that.

Coach McK is a breath of fresh air and will lead this program back to where it was in the 90's.

I was unable to listen to the game, but sounds like we played alright. It's dissapoint losing, but apparently we played pretty well. We have to get to a point, where as fans, we don't take moral victories. Hopefully, the guys will be ready for Winthrop and get us a W.

Keep in mind this is the first conference game for RM and his staff....I think they learned quickly 2 things....1. How awful Big South officiating is and 2. How sensitive they truly are

3. How there is an anti-Liberty bias in the Big South.

(I had to beat someone to it.)

Did WU lose to HPU tonight? I am checking every site I can think of but can't seem to find the answer. What is the WU board URL?

When you get two bench techs in a one possession game. Someone needs to be responsible. Of course you'd find some way to take a cheap shot. Tj was on point in this one!

I may not have been the only one to have thought it...
...but I was the only one to say it.
“We have got to get some more contributions from the post. We're a doughnut down there and that has to be addressed.”
“We're just immature, and we're not where we need to be in terms of competitive greatness. Yet, there's times when there's flashes of very solid basketball. That's where we've been. I'm not happy with it, and we're very disappointed that two or three players couldn't step their game up and make the plays they needed to make when the game was in the balance.”
“It was a very poor performance in that first half. We've got nobody to blame but ourselves for that. ? I was as disappointed with that first half of play as I've been with any half since I've been coaching at Liberty.”
“We just went through a tough stretch and played five of those games on the road and dropped two at home that we could have won. We could get six or seven wins on this side of the bracket if the kids really buck up and play. ? This team could still be very dangerous.”
and my all-time favorite...
“Life is a do-it-yourself project and we Jack Kevorkian-ed ourselves tonight. It was assisted suicide.”
Show me a quote where the man said anything close to like Coach McK said tonight (in terms of taking responsibility) and I will retract all my thoughts.

I'm out!

Don't complain then when we who feel differently say how we feel. Don't cry to focus on the present when you are the one trying to draw some lame comparison. I for one don't think that any thing special has been accompished yet to merit the pep rallies. Hope we win and like Chris predicted can at least finish third, but I believe RD would have had a team finish higher. And believe RD was always professional in post game comments.
