Its funny HMO you say all of that because everybody I have ever talked to that has gone to Mexico hated it or had some kind of terrible story about it that has kind of scared me away from even wanting to go...including my wife...which is why we chose a Caribbean Cruise for our honeymoon...both of us loved the cruise and we just got something from Carnival the other day making us want to go on another one so much more....I loved it....everything is taken care of on the ship and you get to see so much at each spot....

anyways, i loved the cruise and just can't wait to go back

For activities they abound!! The cost is not that bad and the possibilites are endless!

Ditto for this as well. Can't go wrong with Vegas. Though I'm thinking bachelor party more than honeymoon.

What was your stops? Keep in mind you are only in Mexico for 1 day so you get to hit the top spots and get out of dodge....but it was some of the most scenic spots I've ever been to anywhere in the world

agree w/ POSTIE- esp as MrsPA is terrified of anything South of the Border. I dont' really know why. Urban legend, I suppose.

my advice- ENJOY THEN HONEYMOON NOW. Eat, drink and be merry. And drink.

you'll have YEARS of bedroom activity later on when you have kids and can no longer afford to TRAVEL. :nod

We implemented a "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy on that one. And I can neither confirm nor deny patronizing the Pair A Dice Gentlemen's club located behind the Hard Rock Cafe (Insert pun here)

As for Cruising STAY AWAY FROM CARNIVAL if you are on a honeymoon or w/out kids. Look into either Holland America, Celebrity or Carribean Princess. Carnival is like the Chevy of Cruise lines, I am talking like the Cevy Citation or Chevette. The cost of the other lines may be a little bit higher but WELL worth it.

our cruise was a eastern Caribbean cruise with stops in San Juan, St Thomas and Tortola...St Thomas was really nice and a I really enjoyed San Juan a lot...the best part of the cruise for me though was the cruise itself...never got bored...

My wife went to western Mexico on her first cruise...not sure exactly where...but she has been anti-mexico ever since....

St. Thomas is by far my favorite island. If I didn't have a family, there's no reason I wouldn't live there.

My friend Chris had a horror story with a honeymoon cruise back in 2003. He had planned on cruising for his honeymoon in June. Everything was paid for and ready to go when the cruise line (I think it was Norwegian but not positive) tried to contact him to let him know his cruise had been cancelled. The ship had caught fire. The problem was, he couldn't be contacted at home because he was out of state for his wedding. They flew down to Florida and went to board the ship and found out that they wouldn't be cruising. They had spent most of their money paying for the cruise and couldn't afford to pay for another honeymoon at that point. Did the cruise line help them out? No. They didn't even put them up in a hotel for the evening. They told them that they'd give them 50% off on their next cruise. They also wouldn't refund their money on the spot. The only thing they could do would be to issue credit back on the purchasing credit card and this would take two weeks to process. In the meantime Chris is stuck with no money, nowhere to stay and plane tickets that couldn't be switched. They were stuck in Florida! Luckily, Chris' grandmother was able to wire them some money to pay for their expenses and they rented a car and went to Disney World. They made the best of it but the situation is one of the worst imaginable.
