Eli Manning had a 117.1 QB rating against TB this weekend, I have to say that's a pretty good game. Sure he didn't ahve a whole lot of yardage, but yardage is overrated. In the playoffs, the key is controlling the time of possession, not making mistakes and scoring. Eli made very few mistakes, completed 74.1% of his passes, also threw for 2 touchdowns with no interceptions, and the Giants had 5 possessions of 3:46 or longer, including a possession that lasted over 8 minutes. Why did they control the ball so much? Eli did a good job completing passes for first downs or second and short and third and short. He completed 20 passes, 12 were for first downs and 4 put them in second and short or third and short. So 80% of his completions were for first downs, thus extending length of possession, or put them in very good possession for the running game to gain 1-4 yards for a first down to extend their possessions. And that's why people are saying Eli had a great game!

i love it when people make outlandish predictions to games bc they are probably going to have to eat crow. i have to give props to TB because for awhile ya'll stop our running game.

my SB prediction was outlandish, but oh well.
