forget everything I said, the 90s is God like compared to the 2000s if this following list is an indication of anything:

AT&T\'s Top 10 selling ringtones of 2007:
1. Shop Boyz - \"Party Like a Rockstar\"
2. Mims - \"This Is Why I\'m Hot\"
3. Soulja Boy - \"Crank That (Soulja Boy)\"
4. Nickelback - \"Rockstar\"
5. Akon - \"Don\'t Matter\"
6. T-Pain - \"Buy You A Drank (Shawty Snappin)\"
7. Hurricane Chris - \"A Bay Bay\"
8. Sean Kingston - \"Beautiful Girls\"
9. Huey - \"Pop, Lock & Drop It\"
10. Fergie - \"Big Girls Don\'t Cry\"

And I thought the 90\'s had unintelligent music!!!

I loved that song.

you may thik it sucks, but I love 90's rock. I don't know why, but I do.
It was two dang lines repeated over and over again for three minutes. It was written when two guys were sitting around (high) and their (equally high) friend wandered into the room and mumbled the first thing that came to his (high) mind. It singlehandedly marked the end of quality "Billboard" music for more than a decade.

And 90's rock was awesome. There was a vast wasteland of New Wave crap (aka, the exact same thing that the kids call 'emo' today) from 1978 to 1991. The only good music that happened in the 80's happened underground and nobody heard it until a decade later.

Me and my brother DVR'd it so we wouldn't miss it when we went to dinner.

Only chick to be able to look absolutely amazing with pink or blue hair.

She made the thong popular years before we ever heard of Sisqo.

There was another ska band that had a chick singer who was pretty hot. I can't remember their name. The chick sang on She's Got a Girlfriend Now by Reel Big Fish.

Thank you Google: Save Ferris

Ok, after looking at pictures, she wasn't as good looking as I remembered, but wasn't bad at all. She's not that great now.

I dont think the list only includes the BEST songs...I mean the fans voted so of course they are going to vote for something they can remember hearing every 5 minutes....and Sex and Candy was that song...I mean that has to be on the list of the Top 100 songs, I mean think about how many people know that song

The problem with this is list is that it's more of a "Top 10 songs purchased by people who are stupid enough to pay for ringtones" than it is "Top 10 songs of the 2000's".

Music is subjective. One man's pizza is another man's sushi. Everything you like sucks. (And by "you" I'm referring to everyone reading this.) Get over it.

Also, what makes a good ring tone and what makes a good song are two totally different things.

that mims this is why im hot song goes on my list of 10 most retarded songs ever recorded by a grown human being. all he does is say that hes hot and doesnt really say why and if he does say why, no human who speaks english can understand it, and he says everyone else isnt hot because they arent. wow what idiocy. two year olds can produce a more intelligent song than that.

For me it doesn't get any better than the alternative/grunge music that came out between 1991 and 1997. I love all the Seattle bands from that era as well as a ton of bands from other parts of the country. 90's rock is my favorite era followed closely by the late 60's to early 70's rock. I don't really like much 80's rock at all. There are some good indie bands out now but most of what gets airplay from ClearChannel is garbage. When Nickelback is the most popular rock band in the country we have a serious problem. I really wish that Jack White would be the guy that the young bands look to for the next generation instead of Chad Kroegger.

adam, the problem is that you are listening to corporate radio. go to pandora and create a radio station by adding the artists you like. it will play those artists and others similer to them. it works best if you add bands from various genres. if you dont like a song it plays, you can give it a thumbs down and it wont play that song ever again on your station. i\'ve discovered many great bands and songs on pandora. certainly better than anything you\'ll ever get on the radio.

Actually i very rarely listen to the radio anymore. I usually stick with cds and mp3s. I'm getting Sirius for Christmas so this may help a little bit. I've definitely found some good bands on Pandora in the past. I haven't checked it out in quite a while so I might head over there more often. It is definitely better than corporate radio I'll give you that.

only time i ever listen to the radio is in the car, and normally its 89.9, 90.9, wnrn, wlni, or espn radio. if its in the morning its espn on wlni because the music stations normally play crap in the morning.

When I was in the 'burg I usually kept my car radio on 89.9. They play a wide variety of solid music. I did listen to ESPN radio in the mornings however because I just couldn't do the Acoustic Sunrise thing on WNRN. I also thought that 97.9 the Planet was pretty decent since they played deeper album cuts of classic rock songs instead of the typical rotation of only the best known songs of each artist. They were definitely better than WROV...
