Liberty senior point guard Allyson Fasnacht made all six of her free throws in the final 32.5 seconds, Friday evening at the Cox Pavilion, enabling her team to hold off host UNLV’s late rally and claim a hard-fought 70-68 victory. With the win, the Lady Flames won the inaugural Lady Rebel Christmas Classic title.

Fasnacht tied a career high with 19 points and added seven assists, leading Liberty to its ninth-consecutive win. The Lady Flames, now 11-1 overall, were represented on the all-tournament team by MVP Megan Frazee and sister Moriah Frazee.

After LU scoring a win against an impressive JUM team & routing both Binghamton & VA Union - I've been dissapointed that the last 3 games (Glenville, Ball, & UNLV) have been much closer considering that none of these teams compare well to LU in RPI, record etc. We will need to play 100% at UNC if we do I think we can win. Otherwise it could be a route. (Somebody said oh there he goes again - that idiot that predicted the barn burner v JMU). Anyway looking at UNC they have loss their only game at Tenn by 4. They beaten all of their opponents by at least 15 points! LU needs to take care of the basketball against UNC. they press in the full court the entire game. They will use a 1-3-1 half and full court trap defensively. If they take care of the ball against that type of pressure they might have a chance. LU has to hit shots.
