18/23 from the line, not bad

TeeJay had 8 assists and 6 T/Os

as a team we were 8/21 from 3 pt range

1 or 2 fall and its a different story. Oh well.

Based on Medic's stats, it sure looks like that McKay likes a 4 guard team:

Porter has only 16 minutes.
Ohman plays 27 minutes.
Anderson gets in for 15 minutes for his first game of the season.

There were some weird things called and weird things not called, and I'm talking both ways.

The tech on Coach was a joke.

I found out after the game that, had we won this game, it would've been the first time we'd won back to back non-conference road games in seven years.

We're going to see a lot of zone the rest of the year.

Jeremy Anderson is going to help us.

I haven't looked, but I'd be willing to be our shooting stats were a lot better in the second half. In the first half, we were shooting against a back drop of a) a huge banner of their new arena and b) two open doors with people walking in and out.

Here's what their gym looks like:

Story of the game:

Points in the paint-LU 28,CAM 36.
2nd chance points-LU 9,CAM 18.

I was also right on my assumption about the shooting percentage by half:

42.3% vs 55% shooting
36.4% vs 40% 3-pt shooting

I'm guessing McKay has never coached in a gym that small in his life.

He better get used to it. Coastal is about the same size, and CSU is slightly smaller I think.

The story of this game is 14 offensive boards by the Camels, which gave them about 10 more FG attempts than we had. We shot better from the field and from 3. Turnovers and FTs were about equal, although 18 turnovers is too many for this team.

The game ended in almost the exact scenario as ECU. We're 1 point down Teejay takes it to the hole and misses, Ace gets the rebound. This time the refs called a travel before he could put up the possible winning stickback.

RMc was clearly peeved with his team in the post game interview with JE.

Just have your three or four man prep rally and maybe the facts will go away. Road wins are not easy even against inferior teams. Hope we get a win at Va Tech.

I see a second-ever FF.com banning in your future.

maybe you can use an anonymous-browser utility to hide yourself and come back & take potshots at the school, too.

thanks for all the positive input.

Don't be fooled by the pics. The gym is actually a decent size, and they have great facilities compared to the rest of the teams in their conference. I went to basketball camp up there my senior year in highschool and it was actually one of the quality ones i've been to.

You really think he'd figure out anonymous browsing if he can't figure out how to use the quote system on FlameFans properly?

I didn't say anything about the facts. I just congratulated you for stating the obvious when you so brilliantly stated "bad team...road loss". Do you walk around saying "Blue sky. Warm day." a lot? This could be fun...

"Tall tree. Lots of leaves."

"Cup of coffee. Probably hot."

"December 25th. Christmas."

What I said was not a debate about facts. I wasn't trying to argue with you. I was making fun of you for typing another entirely pointless and obvious post, once again wasting space in the FlameFans.com database. It pains me that there's a computer in Michigan that has to store the B.S. that is the 1's and 0's you crap out of your fingers.

If saying "bad team...road loss" is a violation of some standard on this board. I hate to see your rational for the screams if we loss this game a year ago. I was actually pointing out it is tough to win a road game. But a sensitive fire ball hollers foul and we threaten to ban someone.

We lost an opportunity for a road win against a bad team. Nobody was criticized. It will happen again. It happens in most programs. Look at RM and DL road record in MWC. Some are so sensitive because it was a big part of there screams a year ago.

No, it's not decent size and you can't ever mention the word great and their facilities at the same time. The bathroom is two urinals and a stall. My high school gym (honestly) is better than that place. That's a joke of a Division I gym. Coastal is small, but it's nowhere near as big of a dump as Campbell. Everyone I talked to even said CSU's was a better place than Campbell.

By the way, no way that place seats 978.

I'm just glad they finally got a wood floor. Back in the day they had Rubber (Tartan) just like we had in the old multi-purpose/Schilling Center. Terrible facility though.

See, if you would've said more than four words in your initial post, and explained what you meant, no one would've had a problem with it. We don't mind when people criticize on here as long as they at least articulate their argument and have a little bit of a factual base to it.

Schilling is amazing and probably twice as big compared to Campbell.

Campbell is the worst gym I have ever seen in my long life. The only thing worse is the town of Buies Creek, it is a hole. Embarassing loss over all.

Scar, was it the rubber floor that gave you enough spring for your famed ETSU dunk, or was that an away game in Johnson City?
