Delaware's #21 scores a touchdown and then throws the ball into the Appy St. crowd that's already gathering around the field and hits a cop!!! DUMB!!! Couldn't have made it any worse for them.

Decided to act like drunk hillbillies and rush the field with almost four minutes to go. Then they all kept coming down on the field and crowding around the field for the next three minutes after that. The coaches couldn't even find their players on the field after the game.

The teams and coaches couldn't even shake hands because of the App fans.

App fans were in one of the end zones taunting a UD player after he scored a touchdown.

It was just a very bad situation.

The reason I say classless is that it was completely, 100% disrespectful to Delaware. I'm all for celebrating after a win, but wait until the game is actually over.

nothing funny about personal safety. The NCAA and UTC should have had a plan in place for crowd control. it could have ended up being a disaster. that kind of stuff may be ok in boone but not at the national championship. i also thought billy graham's grand daughter was engaged to corey lynch the defensive player? in any regard app clearly showed why they are the best, and to imagine two more years of armanti edwards???? I've got an old college roommate who is now a captain on the Chattanooga police departmemt: I was wondering if he was working the game or not. Yea, the crowd was pretty much out of control. The Delaware player who threw the ball into the crowd, if he would have hit an App State fan instead of a policeman, they may have had a riot on their hands.

Saying "nothing funny about personal safety" isn't being uptight. UTC and the NCAA should be embarrassed, as should App fans. Stay in the frickin stands until the game ends. It's not that hard.

I like App. I grew up less than two hours from the school. I've always pulled for them anytime we weren't playing them. However, that was just dumb what they did. The funny thing is it's ok because they were drunk. Yup, that's their reasoning.

not so long ago there was this big south basketball championship here in the Vines...a certain student section started to filter behind the benches with about 2 minutes left in the game....was that going too far??

but then again smoothie and I never agree on anything, I don't know why this would be any different...

exactly...dismiss yourself from the conversation. if you saw the game you would realize. you can call me uptight all you want, but the facts are the facts. if you do not think that is dangerous your'e crazy...oh i forgot you did not watch the friggin game. so why the heck are you even gonna comment about it? once again if you had seen the game you would understand. the point is not that no one got hurt so it's no big deal. it is an NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP!! you have to have plans in place for crowd control. nothing uptight about that.

there is this magical thing called the internet smoothie...you can see anything you want if you didn't get the chance to see it yourself....and I just watched the last 10 minutes or so of the game and still stand by my opinion...I often find myself on the other side arguing with you smoothie and so I am use to how you respond to me...but man you come off as so arrogant sometimes...I love how you always throw out the "just a college kid" as if that is a valid argument considering you know nothing about me or my life or my background...if I were some 18 year old freshmen possibly...but I am not...but if that is the best you have to attack me with then fine, keep on saying and it believing it....

you are partly right, it should've been planned for, but it wasn't and now they know...but nobody got hurt, so therefore its funny....it should be a lessoned learned, but in the end we should be able to laugh about it....

what the app. st. fans did last night is absolutely unacceptable. standing less than 2 feet from the field is not only highly dangerous to the players and the fans, it is also against ncaa field guidelines. there has to be a certain amount of distance around the field that is unobstructed. i\'m not sure how many feet it is, but it is like that in every single sport. fans standing on the paint for the sideline is clearly a violation of ncaa rules. when it happened the announcers said they do it for every game and it was expected, yet there wasn\'t anything done to try to prevent it? what a joke. app. st. should be heavily fined for this and there should be even harsher punishment if it ever happens again because they are knowingly violating ncaa rules and they are putting everyone in that stadium in a very dangerous situation. for example, what if some dumb app. st. fan had decided to attack the delaware player who threw the ball at them or that delaware player decided to do something to the app. st. fans taunting him?

not really a personal attack...the key words being sometimes you come off as arrogant...I know that is not your intent because we disagree so much I just am use to how communicate on message boards...plus I have met you a couple of times and you aren't arrogant at all....so not really a personal attack at all....

I do think you kind of throw the "college kid" argument out there way too often...especially since I took 2 1/2 years and worked until I got to Liberty and am much older then your typical senior...

postman you obviously don't know anything about planning a sporting event. you didn't see the game so please go away from this conversation. i saw the game and there could have been people hurt. these are things that people like security, etc plan for in advance.
