Kevin Smith has about much chance to win the Heisman as I have to win a MVP trophy in the SuperBowl.

Should be McFadden, but Tebow could get it, but then again a underclassman has never won it.

Really? Only Seniors have won it? That isn't right, I'm certain there have been several underclassmen that have won it in the past. I'll look them up.

If you meant by underclassmen sophomore or younger, you are correct. I was under the impression that underclassmen meant anyone but a senior, is my definition wrong?

Looks like others have already responded. Upperclassmen are anyone above sophomores. A Freshman or sophmore has nevr won the Heisman.

Of course, Roger Staubach won as Juniors, along with Archie Griffin...the only 2-time winner.

look at his competition....then look at those who won the heisman and their competition...2 different levels

First of all, his team is undefeated and has been in the top 25 all year, and the media has a love affair with QBs.

this is true, they do love their OB's....Hawaii would be beat by almost every other top 25 team...i have watched them play three different times and came away unimpressed everytime...but the media does love QB's, you are right about that

The big question should be...McFadden or Tebow. Will they give to the one who deserves it...or the guy who finished 2nd last year.

I dont disagree with you about Hawaii and not being impressed, but many of these voters have probably only seen highlights of Brennan, and they've been ranked in the top 25 all year so they figure they are pretty good.

Have to say that he is an amazing player and he is only a sophmore. My gut tells me that he's probably
not going to win (think McFadden will) mainly because he is a sophomore and there is definitely a bias against underclassmen in this race. He has had an incredible year, on a team that was less than incredible.

At any rate - gotta go with the Gator.
