Chill out bro. I voted for them. This was brought up in the thread about Duke, and just wondering what everyone thought. I think they're a good idea to get the students involved. Obviously, others don't. I just wanted to see the consensus.

I'm for them for now. Once things get going and we have a true atmosphere, we won't need them.

I guess you mean me since I am apparently the only one against it. Do you know who will use those cheer sheets? You guys. The ones who are standing in front and doing the cheering anyway. Everyone else will continue to mack on their girlfriend or whatever they're doing. The only way to get people to cheer is to change the atmosphere. And that I don't know how to do. It was done in football without cheer sheets though.

You're right, it was different in football. Basketball is going to take more. We're not using the cheer sheets in the front.


The thing is, we're at least trying to change the atmosphere. If this doesn't work, then we'll try something else. At least we're trying. If you have a better idea, I'm all for listening.

My hats go off to SJ, to the left, and everyone else trying to change the atmosphere. My first two and a half years I was there I didn't have to worry about that because the atmosphere was there. The last year and a half, I didn't know of anyone else who would help me. This will get changed in time, and I think that will be before this season is over.

We're doing what we can with the resources we have. Right now, it's just five or six of us trying to do things. We have others who join in during the game, but right now there's just a small core of us trying to get things going. We're students with a limited budget right now. If you have ideas other than cheer sheets for us to do, let us know. If we can do it, we will. We're working on more stuff but right now it's hard.

it's a sheet that tells everybody what to cheer in certain situations during the game. If you do it for each game, it's normally got some stuff that's specific to that team on it as well.

apparently my shouting horrible things at the opposing teams as well as our own team, especially those 2 guys that sucked something fierce yet somehow played 20 minutes a game didn't take off...
