If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Ken Karcher couldn't tell the difference between x's and o's in a playbook and the ones in his spaghetti-o's.

And Karcher wasn't good with players -- as evidenced by the fact that Karcher once told a player "I'll throw you off the team" -- and the player replied "at least you'll be gone first."

I think if anyone watched Joe Gibbs' performance today, during the funeral for Sean Taylor -- and how Gibbs stressed the need for everyone to have a personal relationship with Christ -- and even prayed the prayer of salvation -- you would say that Joe Gibbs is the right man to lead this team right now.

If you talk to any GM in any sport, they will tell you that in-game strategy is not the first thing they look for when hiring a coach. There are so many other aspects -- namely, leadership ones -- that cannot be learned in books or by studying x's and o's.

The dude called two timeouts in a row. The Redskins haven't improved in the last few years. That's a shame, really it is. The game probably has passed Gibbs by. But that doesn't take away from the fact that he is a great leader -- in fact, the one who can best lead the Redskins.
Then make him the chaplain. He is paid to win football games.

As long as Dan Snyder's there, I don't think there's a coach on earth who could turn that team around.

People forget he won 2 supes with ok talent and journeyman qb's.
Spare me the "he had ______ on the team" crap.
Gibbs coached them to & thru the big game.

As a card-carrying eagle fan, I hate the 'skins, their fans, ownership, management, and hot dog vendors.

Why would you lift the shotgun over your head to duck hunt. When I had my Super NES I held the pistol right in front of my face.

Nevermind that analogy was awful, but no person i have ever heard of uses a 10 gauge to hunt duck?? My father and i have used it on Mule deer and whitetail, but that gun would produce the effect of Tractor trailor hitting a deer at 65mph wouldn't it?

no. most i've known around here use them mainly for geese. but we also use them for duck in these parts.

and i was just making a point. to say someone was successful at one time does not mean that he will be forever successful....to excuse gibbs crappieness by saying he won superbowls 20 years ago is just as awful

I just got a text message from Tyler Baker's Agent (aka TBGBGBGGB)

Him: What does Job Gibbs and Chris Webber have in common?
Me: Both dont grasp the essence of a Time-Out
