What the heck does Michigan have to do with anything? I'm no OSU fan but they did beat 4 top 25 teams with 3 of those wins coming on the road.

It's going to be Ohio State and LSU. Georgia and Florida lost their shot by virtue of the fact that they were out mowing their yards and Christmas shopping this Saturday.

So was Ohio State, dude, seriously. They dont play a conference championship game and play in a HORRIBLY overrated conference. They are a joke and dont belong as high as they are.

Not allowing VT in to the discussion is a joke.

They are ranked higher than both LSU as of last week in the BSC and beat a higher ranked team in BC than LSU did with UT. Georgia didn't even win their conference for crying out loud, they shouldn't have the opportunity to play for a national championship.

You could end up having 6 teams from 1 conference play in that type of playoff

A playoff isn't going to happen

Just require a stronger strength of schedule to get in

The CAA got 5 teams into a field of 16 in I-AA...it wouldn't be worse.

I say Hawaii should get a shot at the national title...they're the only undefeated, and while they did have a weak schedule (i.e. playing Charleston Southern) its because NO ONE WANTED TO PLAY THEM BECAUSE THE BIG TEAMS WERE SCARED TO LOSE.

noone wants to play them because they are scared? they only beat the worst team in the pac 10 by 7. their conference is a joke. they are playing a div 1 AA schedule. i don't even think they are a top 25 team.

I can agree that whoever wins the BCS game is the National Champion. Until a better system comes along, that will still determine the champ. If the AP votes someone different, we will have two national champs. It all comes down to teams still taking care of business on the field.

but this year you have 3,4 or even 5 teams that have taken care of "business" about equally.....to say that the 2 in the bcs bowl took care of this "business" you allude to better than anyone else this year is just a matter of opinion and goofy mathmatical algorithms...

No...it all stinks...compared to a playoff. My point is that the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP is determined in this chaotic manner...it makes for fun argument...but the winner of the BCS game...for better or worse...is THE national champion.

I like a 16 team format myself, but an 8 team format would be a fine start in the right direction that is for sure...

I don't know why LSU would be partying...are they going to leap frog three of these teams: Ohio State, Georgia, Kansas, and Virginia tech??? That would seem out of reach....its either going to be Ohio State/Georgia or Ohio State/Virginia Tech from everything I can tell....and man would I hate it if Tech got in...no team from the ACC deserves to be in the national title game...but thats the crap system we have right now....

this is why I am an idiot and should avoid talking about college football at all costs as it seems I am always wrong
