I am heading overseas the next few weeks and I want to be able to chat online with Mrs. Sly and the rest of the family using my webcam. I know there are a bunch of different options but I want to know what you young and tech savvy folks suggest. Should I just use Yahoo Messenger? Windows Live? Anything else (that doesn't break the bank)?

For video you want to use Skype. It's free and easy. If you want to pay a little $ you can even make regular phone calls with it.
