THE HORSE = great band song. I never knew the title til now.

The arrangement of "Joshua" on the Brown site is the same one our band did years ago, so I'd guess we already have the music. Totally entertaining song with a biblical connection and a competition theme.

Big fan of Neil Diamond: even heard him in concert in Roanoke in the early '90s.

I'm troubled by the fact that I am old enough to be SJ's Dad's class mate in school. Ok, almost anyway. Also a song that I think the band could play is the new Jay-Z song which I can't seem to remember the title. I have looped it on my CD about 100 times but the whole song has horns in it. I can guarantee the Hampton's and the NC A&T's will be playing it next year.

Go to a Sox game and hear everyone singing it together....it's unreal...if we can get some people singing that in the stands it would be great

Why am I getting my hopes up that the band will do something that I'll enjoy?

Oh you can bet that I'll be leading them on. Folks my age should not only recognize the song but sing it too!! It was so big back in the day!

I think that your talking about Roc Boys...it's an amazing song, and it would sound awesome for a marching band to play.

The entire album is unreal....Roc Boys is great...No Hook is one of the sickest songs I've heard in years....language is what you expect from J but it's powerful and he continues to be the best metaphorical lyricist of all time

Roc Boys would be clever (it'll never happen) but the true title is "Roc Boys (and the winner is)" so that makes it even better!

Great lines in the album though

Godfather, Goodfellas, Scarface, Casino
You seen what that last run did to DeNiro
When he can't beat the odds, can't cheat the cards
Can't blow too hard, life's a deck of cards
Now you're tumbling, its humbling, you're falling, you're mumbling
Under your breath like you knew this day was coming
Just download the "clean" versions or buy it at walmart 8)

Yes, I sometimes slip Jay-Z lines into our telecasts. I love Roc Boys though. I can't get enough of that song. The band playing that with the horns would sound great. Glad you guys knew what I was talking about though.

The album is crazy good, just like every other Jay-Z album is...I love pretty much all things Jay-Z.

We played "You Can Call Me Al" when I was in LU's band. I love that song. I used to have a VCR tape of the MTV video with Chevy Chase.
