Saying Tyler's only going to score 30 is actually pretty tame for TBGBGBGBGBGBGBGBGBGBGBGBGBGBG.

30 for TB? Well, he'd have to double his career high... and something tells me that Kentucky is a little better than the D-II school he lit up for 13 points last year.

Tyler had 12 points while playing only 10 minutes in the season finale last year. Had we fed his hot hand, we probally would have advanced in the tournament. Some would say that he was underutilized in our "star-oriented" line-up last year. You could say the same for Jenkins as well.

A healthy Tyler will create problems for opposing defenses. He's hard to cover on the perimeter, and when he gets fouled inside, he's virtually 100% from the line.

I say that we can hang within 20 points of UK. Our lack of depth will hurt a bit and we need the starters to stay out of foul trouble. I don't think that we can pull a Gardner Webb on them. They will be ready to play.

100% agree....I think we'll hold tough for the first half but once depth starts to hurt us they'll break away with a 15-20 point lead....our time is coming :D

I think you guys will hang with them for about 25 minutes or so. I see the better talent at UK taking over late in the game and UK winning by 15-20.

if this game is even within 20, McKay should get a 10-year contract extension.

I think having no depth works to our advantage in this one. You guys are obsessed w/ our "so called lack of depth." Get over it. This is who we are and until TB comes back this all we're going to have.

I played in a HS basketball program where our coach never played more than 6-8 players. He won more than 500 games. Many times he only played 6 players. Granted HS is 32 minutes, but college kids should be in even better shape and be able to play a few more minutes.

W/ media timeouts these guys get to rest every 4 minutes.

In '94 Hildebrand was a one man offensive show in the backcourt with 18ppg along with 5apg. The other three backcourt players combined for something like 9ppg. However, we did have great depth underneath with Dixon, Aluma, and Chapman. I'd like to see 10 quality minutes out of a combination Monroe/Jones. Or better yet, Vince Redd ruffin' up the opposition for 10+ a game--would be nice.

Right now, if Ace gets in foul trouble, we'll be hurtin'.

I want you to show me a NCAA team that did well late in the season that went 6 deep. Just 1 since 1990. I know this is who we are, but it's not good. I knew who we were 2 seasons ago, and it wasn't good. I won't even mention the giant poorly conditioned elephant in the room that is us playing VMI.

Baker should be back before conference play starts and McKay keeps saying that Anderson will be back as well. So, I'll assume he'll be back by conference time as well. Assuming everyone's healthy by then, we should be able to run with VMI.

2005...WVU went to the elite 8 (and barely lost that game), with pretty much a 7 man rotation

7 is 1 more than 6. 7 is a very common number to shave your rotation down to in the beginning of January.

UK has a highly overrated coach and a mix-n-match lineup learning his new systems. If we play our best game we can win. I would be very surprised to see us lose by 30 or more barring injury.

I don't know which 1 you are thinking of, but the 1997-98 UNC Tar Heels squad was really only 6 deep and they made the Final Four that year.

their whole starting lineup has played in the nba, and vince carter, atawn jamison, and brendan haywood are starting and ed cota and shammon williams did squat in the nba, but they made it there. also ndiaye and okulaja played in the nba. plus they had 7 players play in nearly every single game.

the 7th was Brendan Haywood as a freshman

In blowout games, he would get a few more minutes. In ACC games and other closer games, he would get minutes either late in the first half to keep one of the 6 from getting into foul trouble or late in the second half when the game was locked up.
