ok after i got home form GW last night, i saw channel 13 news. they showed highlights of VT/miami, VMI/citadel, LU volleyball, LC womens soccer, and VES/STAB high school football. the only mention of out title was the score and few words! what the heck?? i know they could have got some highlights to show. i would expect this from channel 7 and 10 because they are in roanoke, but WSET?? i was very disappointed.

Not sure what you watched, I'm pretty sure we had plans to heve the highlights. I would have been Justin Last night not DC. I didn't see the show, so I'll check. If he didn't air them, then I agree that's dumb!!!!!!1

the local Division I FB team wins its league championship, for the first time ever, after running thru the regular season conf schedule undefeated - setting numerous records, and we still can't get air time?

maybe they devoted the first 15 minutes of the telecast to it, SMOOTH

I agree that highlights shoul have been shown. I'm not yet convinced that they did not. However, let's remember that sports gets 2:30 of our newscast, and there was a lot going on yesterday. I'll get answers later.

this is another reason why its hard to bring in Lynchburg residents to football games, or sporting events in general. I watch channel 13 pretty often and rarely do they spend much time on LU athletics...people don't know anything about because the tv media doesn't cover it...I understand UVA and VTech are the two big ones...but when you run a station out of Lynchburg where there is another DI school, you would think it be a little easier to get some coverage....

Just talked to DC. We had the sat coords from MASN, but we couldn't get the feed. The master control folks had a problem with one of the receivers not working right. They tried to get the feed, but couldn't. As of today, he's having trouble getting a re-feed. I'll see if I can get someone at LU to get them a dub of what they shot.

By they way it is just plain silly to say we don't cover LU. We have tons of LU stories weekly. I'll call up the archive Monday and do a count for you.

I can remember the CH.13 cameraman at almost every home game during the "dark" years. . . . .I think I saw them once maybe...maybe twice during this STELLAR season. I'm very disappointed too in their poor coverage.

A ridiculous comment. I was at 4 of the home games, and Justin was there for all 4. He was there for the whole game the last 2 home games. He looks different than Jon Organ, so folks assume we aren't there. I'm pretty sure they were at all 6. I know they go to the Press Conference EVERY tuesday. I know they were at volleyball. Please don't post things as fact if you don't know.

i understand things happen...and I don't say you never cover LU...but not enough to make the local realize we are successful, I know this because I work with locals and they constantly are shocked to hear our football team is good simply because they never hear about it on the news

What do you mean small subheading? Do you see one for Tech and UVA?

Yes, I see the "Hokies Overpower Hurricanes" as the top story under Sports Headlines and I also see, "Virginia Defeats No. 17 Arizona 75-72" down the list.

What I mean by subheading, is a blurb, something...(maybe the word "subheading" isn't the correct term). It just would of been nice to see one on our Championship.
