The game can be heard on 90.9 and according to the local fishwrap, Jenkins will be starting ahead of Ohman who scored 15 points against Coker. In 2006, ECU lost to LU in the Vines Center 64-56 in one of RD's best non-conference wins last year.

I like Kyle coming off the bench for instant offense. He only started against Coker because of TeeJay's disciplinary benching.

We're gonna need 20-plus from that Jenkins/Ohman combination every night.

I thought BJ did a great job running the team on Tuesday. Granted it was against Coker and I probably could still run the team at my advanced age against them  Really though I think BJ will be key all year long. If TJ continues to get in foul trouble, Liberty will need BJ to fill the PG role effectively. Kyle may struggle to get as many open looks as scouting reports come through on him and people try to take him out of his game. I used to talk with Dees about that. It is a lot different when someone's defense is geared to stop you as opposed to coming off the bench and being an after thought because they have to worry about so many other threats. This game today is winnable but it is going to take a monumental effort on the boards. ECU has 2 Ace McLeans. Fields and Blair are both 6-8, 6-9 with long arms and a relentless pursuit of the basketball. They both have bungy hops too. We will need Anthony Smith to hit the boards like he did the other night. I talked with Smitty's mom after the game and she told me that she has encouraged him to help Ace on the glass because he is capable. He goes out and gets 11 rebs (officially but I had him for 13 easily after I was told he tied his career high with 11 and I know I saw 2 more but not that big of a deal).

Sounds like we face a daunting challenge. Still we beat them last year. How much better could they be.

I remember people yelling at me last season telling me BJ was not a Point Guard...and never played it last year(which wasn't true)...he does a very solid job at running the team...I have always liked him and thought he was being misused last season...shocking i know

Kel, it is a lot tougher to beat a team on the road than in your own gym. That is just the reality of sports. Great teams overcome that though. This is not a great Liberty team yet. They are gonna have a tough time today IMHO. Not saying we can't win but we will have to play well.

Is anyone going to watch on www.ecupirates.com ? They have a webstream that you have to pay for. I don't think I will get it. I do plan on getting the season pass of the Edge so MRS SCAR can watch and I can watch the road games this season in conference. She tried it the other night and it wouldn't work for some reason.

I would do it if they had a single game option...but the only thing I see is a monthly option....

You're right Scar. I wasn't thinking road game, but yes it is definitely tougher to win on the road. It's so frustrating seeing LU lose these out of conference games year after year. hopefully better days lie ahead.

I guess nobody's listening but we're up 19-17 at half.

Both teams are shooting cold from 3

Teejay with 6 points 2 assists
McLean with 5 boards.
Smith 1-3 FG and only 4 points

nothing else stands out too much.

Good sign= we're winning the rebound battle 24-21 against a team with as Scar said, two Alex Mclean's.

Bad sign= we're starting to turn the ball over and ECU is capitalizing.

our rotation is absolutely ridiculous.

8 players have played
1 of them has 14 minutes
2 of them have 4 minutes a peice

We are essentially playing 5 maybe 6 deep. We're gonna be pretty worn out by conference time. Well, our starters will. Everybody else will be rusty.

I don't know, the only game he has played in so far was the Coker game, he didn't play at all during the trip out west

Teejay completely changes the offense. He gets in foul trouble though. It hurts when he sits.
