No wonder you feel like doing :cartwheels with McKay on board.
Nope...but I had a courtside bench seat at the final game of his first tour of duty. I just had no desire to fight traffic and parking and leave the friendly confines of my house when I didn't have to be there. Not sure how long I will stay tonight, either...but for whatever reason, I am just looking forward to some CBB this winter.

Coker's center looks like he should be playing drums in a grunge band.

Broadcast note for SCAR:

How did they keep the Thundersticks inflated since the Coastal Game? Seriously?

Come on, man. They just didn't open them or blow them up until tonight!

Just giving you a hard time.

What channel was it on? DRL was showing Notre Dame getting blitzed by the USAFA.

Only about 1,400 fans showed up. Disappointing! Could it be that Croker is not a recognizable opponent. It looks like Anthony Smith and Kyle Ohlman lit it up. Ty Baker back in the lineup which is good to see. Alex went a perfect 6 for 6.

I think there were a bit more then 1400...it was a late arriving crowd and for some reason they didn't have the turn styles at the student entrance which of course would make it tougher to get accurate numbers

i thought ohman was excellent tonight. not just for raining 3's either. he was a hustler on defense, and had a positive attitude the whole time he was on the floor.

Kyle Ohlman has been a pleasant surprise so far. My question is where was Tee Jay Bannister? Was he taking the night off?

I agree...Ohman is doing a lot of things well out there....of course the 3 ball is what everybody notices and its nice, but he really is a solid player....and this kid was a walk on!!!?????

SJ we took a shot of their coach with his head in his hands and you guys in the background giving him the business. Pricless. Great stuff. You didn't say shut-up did you?

Maybe they counted some twice?

Thankfully, I never saw an LUPD officer talking to Super at this game. He must have either cleaned up his act or gotten a "get out of jail" card from JB himself.

His name is Shrek. He has his ears guaged out and you can tell by the big holes in them. When I was at Coastal we called him Shrek and had another guy we called Donkey.

I made sure to find out what was legal and wasn't legal before the game. Kevin asked me not to say shut up tonight because they hadn't figured it out so we didn't. We just made fun of the coach in other ways.

Funny thing is, I think my De-por-ta-tion chant was a lot worse than shut up and no one complained.

Mental note. I will remember that one Scorcho  At least someone was listening. Flamefans was dead tonight. This is one of the lightest game threads I have seen in a while. I wish you guys could still get the stream for free. I see my boy Realist is still watching...MRS SCAR tried to sign up for the Edge but it wouldn't work. I wanted her to get it so we can watch the road games in conference.

wish I could've watched- had another mtg (Tuesday nites are horrible for me)

REALLY suhkx that we have to pay for that crappy stream. It WILL NOT WORK on my DSL carrier. And it appears I'm not alone. Something MUST be done about that. Personally, I say SCRUEH the BSOUTH, we have our own network- we should be able to broadcast it globally if we choose. SCORCHO- can you please make that happen? Thanks

ohman looked good tonight. he was the biggest standout to me. russ had a couple nice blocks that got the crowd jumping. BJ looked good too, he hustles well and can handle the ball good.
I wasn't very impressed with porter. he doesn't seem to be able to get a rebound, but instead just taps at it. I haven't looked at stats but I think BJ had more rebounds than he did.

Recap from Chris ...
Ohman leads LU to its first victory in basketball

By Chris Lang
Lynchburg News & Advance
November 14, 2007

Eight players are featured on the front and back covers of Liberty's men's basketball media guide.

Kyle Ohman is not one of them.

It's understandable. Ohman was a walk-on who played 45 minutes last season. But when new Flames' coach Ritchie McKay watched Ohman play, he was enamored by the 6-foot-4 sophomore's long arms, shooting stroke and defensive prowess.
